I wanna hear the specific reasons, or the most powerful reasons you guys hate their servers. I understand you guys hate them period, but I'm interested to see what you guys hate the most above all.

One server I went to said I couldn't have the word [sp]ass[/sp] in my name or they'd ban me can you believe that shit.
Because they freak out over stupid little things, like when someone slips a cuss word. Yeah I know its in the rules but come on everyone slips up a bit. Maybe if they gave some people warnings, they wouldn't get flooded with trolls.
Because, as the name suggests, they have massive egos.

They do give warnings, though. I went there once and absent-mindedly (Maybe) sprayed the "I'm a homo" speech bubble I stole and got a PLEASE DO NOT SPRAY THIS AGAIN warning.
The reason people are getting insta-banned is maybe because they're trolls???
I must be the only one who has never experienced anything related to eGo.
Ego bans people if their [b]character[/b] swears. You don't have fucking control over that.

See normally I'd assume that's a joke but I don't even know because that's how bad eGo is.
They kick/ban over the stupidest things.
I was playing on an eGO server and some guy took a tag off the end of his name and they kicked him. :raise:
I haven't had a whole lot of problems with eGo, but i only played on one of their servers once, so yeah.
I, personally, don't mind it when people don't allow you to swear. In fact, the Hal's Playground server I usually go to has censorship for the big words ([sp]fuck, shit, shinanigans[/sp]) but they have a message appear in chat (like "why do my parents keep asking me to run away from home?") that is quiet fun to see. If you are going to censor people, at least give them somethin' back, ya know?

It is indeed true. And they seem to be Christian too, if I recall their rules, one is "Do not take the lords name in vain". So yeah, run while you still can.
I think the ego servers have their logos plastered around the levels too, right?
and I find that very annoying.

eGO is alright on DoD:S but if there are little kid I usually leave because they FUCKING TURN UP THEIR MICS TO THE LOUDEST VOLUME

I really started hating them after a particular experience. One day, I finally lost my temper and said "Fucking really?" After I had lost my temper and said "Fuck" At a sniper who was killing me WHEREVER I went, even the Acid on CP_Blackmesa. They muted me, I ragequit.
The next day, I came on because it was the only server that had the map, which I loved. I told them "Can I just say, really? No cussing in a game where you throw piss at people and blow them into chunks?" I told them "Alright, I'm done." After a small arguement, and the admins muted me anyway, because HOW DARE I question them. I rejoined, because I liked talking to the community. I said "There we go." And shut up for awhile. After a second the admins realized that the filthy scum that questioned them was back and muted me for no reason. At which point I went "Fuck this place." And never came back.
I haven't had any bad things that relates to eGo and I have been on their servers a couple of times. Thankfully I haven't really seen any bad admins but I'm not going to join their server much anymore.

Also, I've played on that map, it's pretty awesome.
I'm Christian and I still think they are fucking ridiculous.
I got everyone on the server on my side on a debate between me and the admins ( the arguement was that they are being unjust on an M rated game ) so I was banned for being disrespectful. Many occasions before I was banned, I was kicked for: Disrespecting, saying a curse word, Playing elevator music on HLDJ, not helping the team, and typing in all caps.
Good times.
