I need help, for some reason, whenever I quit TF2 and start it up again the settings I changed revert back to what they were before I changed them
Manibogi said that there may be a autoexec hidden in one of my VPKs which might be causing the problem but the only autoexec I found was the one in my cfg folder with these commands
cl_new_impact_effects 1 Adds effects to glass, concrete, etc. when hit with a melee or bullet weapon
hud_combattext_batching 1 "rounds" the damage on hitscan weapons so it doesn't produce those "5s"
cl_burninggibs 1 Adds flames to gibs when a on fire person is gibbed
voice_loopback 1 Makes it so I can hear my own voice when I speak in the mic.

check if you have -autoconfig on launch options
check if you have -autoconfig on launch options
I don't
(Or do you mean the launch options brought up by right clicking TF2 in the steam library after clicking properties?)

And did I forget to mention that the news popup also keeps appearing even after I close it?
Is there a write protection on your config.cfg?

Those are the launch options.

no
(I just opened it with notepad and CTRL + F searched it for "word protection", is that right?)

Right-click it in the directory and select Properties, then see if it's marked read-only

It isn't marked read only, mark it?
EDIT: I marked it and that didn't fix it
