Alright, here's my problem:
Every time I play TF2, I can never join a server for one of 2 reasons.

When I'm joining a server, it gets stuck on "Parsing game info" forever.

If I DO join a server (which is extremely rare), it auto-disconnects me.
I really need help, because it is starting to get on my nerves.
Please help guys.
:crying:
Reinstall? Or try to forward theese ports:
TCP: 27020-27039
UDP: 1200, 27000-27015
Good luck!
Get better internet.
And looking at the graphics, stop using a PC from the early 90's.

1xAgree on that when I look at the second pic again.
Game info fail = bad processor.
Disconnection = bad internet.
Specs and internet (speedtest link maybe) would help.
Defrag.
Rebuild.
Reinstall.
Revalidate.
4 main options to choose from.
Are you using wireless? If you are. Stop using it
Wireless works fine for me ... and my internet isn't exactly the best.
I'll try re-install right now.
That's basically my best option right now, due to me being a total dumbass with computers.

And also that I can't really get a new processor/video card/computer.

What's wrong with wireless?
As long as your router has UPnP and it works I see no issue with wireless internet.
What is your internet speed?
What is your internet speed?
36 Mbps
Right, having had exactly this problem myself, it's extremely likely to be a router problem. Look up in your routers documentation about how to access and change the firewall settings, specifically something called port forwarding, and forward the ports suggested by n00bman. If you're lucky, your router may come with a predefined profile for half life 2, which works for all source games.

Thanks.
I'll try that later.

Ok, I figured out how to forward ports, but what should I put in for the port name? Just "TF2" or something more specific?
[editline]07:56PM[/editline]
Wait, whenever I try to add a port, It says "Unacceptable character; you can only type a number"
There are only numbers.
[editline]08:02PM[/editline]
Fuck it,
I don't know what I'm doing.
Can someone help me in depth?
Or just point me in a right direction?
:f5:
put 13 as a name
laugh if it works
I sometimes have both of these problems, but pretty rarely recently.
The fact that mine used to do it a lot, but fixed itself without me doing anything makes me think internet problem.

Yes, I'm still having problems. thats why i bump'd
Could it be a software firewall?
try to save up money for a new computer, the computer you are using now seems old.

You are the most unhelpful person on fp i've seen.
What's your specs?
That'll probably be the reason to the sticking on parsing game info

Will post when i get my computer back - this is my moms
Try restarting the computer.
I've been having problems with connecting to games too and restarting it seemed to help.

You wouldn't believe how many times I've restarted.
