I personally think for the Demoman:
( can only think of two )
1. Dynamite
Grenade/explosive
25% chance to crit
Hard to aim
5 second explosive time
2. Sticky stickies! - ability to stick to players
-25% damage per sticky
Stick to players!
Drops off after 3-5 seconds
Simski's fix on "Sticky Stickies"
Sticky stickies MIGHT work though if they replace the grenade launcher instead, and they're not remote detonated.
Meaning, if they hit the enemy, they stick to him, and set off in a set ammount of time.
Maybe 5 or 10 seconds after they've been stuck to the target.
That way, it would kinda work like an afterburn, and if the victim is clumsy and walks back to his friends before it exploded, it might damage them as well.
The downside could be that it no longer bounces off walls, or something like that.
the second idea is great
What would be the use of the second idea :S?
It sounds cool, but useless.
Sounds like a grenade launcher that doesn't kill on contact until you tell it to kill them.
I would post that comic about the demoman sticking his stickies to a friendly scout and making him into a bomb, but you'd expect that.

They might not know about it, run back into a crowd/sentry/dispenser/medic and you can blow their silly little arses into HELL!
The first one cons could easily be disproven if you get used to the weapon.
Second one is good though.

That would be OP as hell.

I see, that's actually a pretty good idea... but I bet alot of people would just end up pressing a button to suicide the second they notice they get stickied, so you won't get no points for their death.
Perhaps it would even frustrate players because they'd know that they're practiclaly already dead.
I mean... people get frustrated for being unable to move for a few seconds because of the sandman, imagine how they'd feel when they're stickied and know that no matter what they do, you're more likely to blow them up before they ever get the chance to save themselves.
Hmm... very good point, they COULD drop off after 3-5 seconds?
Nah. It would still frustrate a lot of people.
When has 1 sticky been able to kill you? Plus, -25% damage?
If you are smart, you move around so they can't hit you, it'll take 3 stickies unless you get a crit.
Balances it out? Guys stop looking at my idea and make your own up!!! :argh:

AND that the stickies dissappear if the demoman is killed before they detonate.
Hmm... I somewhat agree... Ill add you to OP
There should be a way to unstick yourself as well, Airblast it off of teammates, (if a pyro notices in time) jarate (Stuff stops sticking when wet :V) and medic, because it's the medics job to look after everyone and gives him something else to watch for.
Add that with the 5-10 second explosion time and it seems balanced to me, although a bit frustrating if you turn a corner and suddenly your bodies covered in explosives :V As well, maybe just 1 or 2 can stick to a single person at one time?

Let it have the regular nade launcher shooting time.
Making the demoman able to stack up stickies to the victim if he's really good, making pretty goddamn sure the victim will die if he manages to put 2 or 3 on him, but also making the victim able to survive single grenades attached to him, survive 2 stickies while being healed, and the pyro being able to airblast them off.
2 more ideas
Timed sticky - Detonates one after the other like a demolition charge so
12345678 would detonate half a second after each other or
Single charges - Detonate them individually but can detonate rapidly.
Something that isn't an idea from the community
Something that isn't an idea from the community
Good point :v:
Valve have been doing alot of community requests lately, and while that is awesome in it's own right, I'd like to see what Valve themselves would come up with.
that one shot grenade launcher for Demo.
RPG-7 for Soldier
I hope there will be some type of guided missile (Think 007 Nightfire if you remember the Sentinel).
that one shot grenade launcher for Demo.

This is why I said an idea not from the community
You saying there shouldn't be an idea from the community, is in fact an idea from the community.
Ol'Whiskey (Replaces bottle)
When used, it will be removed and be in use for 10 secounds!
+ 20% Permanent health boost!
+ Fire & Reload 25% faster with all weapons!
- 15% less damage
- Makes you walk slower, after used (until you die)
- Will make the demoman sing loud for a period of time, revealing your position to the enemy.
Veterans Mauser (Replaces shotgun)
Will reload like a sniper rifle, but slower.
+ 25% more damage
+ Has a knife at the front which can be used to sting enemies infront of you. Dealing only 5 damage, but making them walk 40% slower!
- 50% Slower reload
- Shots only 1 shot until reload
Special taunt:
When taunting using Veterans Mauser. You will do the Maggot taunt. But instead he will shot with the gun, insta-killing everything infront of him!
You saying there shouldn't be an idea from the community, is in fact an idea from the community.
good point
then how about if valve decides
Ol'Whiskey (Replaces bottle)
+ 20% Permanent health boost!
+ Fire 35% faster with all weapons!
- Makes you walk slower.
- No criticals while used!
They don't really do the "no crits!" disadvantage anymore. They even took it off the bluts.
They've realized a large part of their player base does not, in fact, like crits.

true, but then you'll be swinging the bottle almost as fast as you can in CSS.
true, but then you'll be swinging the bottle almost as fast as you can in CSS.
But only for 10 secounds :D
Valve should make Demo's bottle taunt regain some health.
Valve should make Demo's bottle taunt regain some health.
They have this in Zombie Fortress and I think it'd be a bit overpowered
