According to a TF2maps staff member
Last night Robin said trading and new demo tools probably aren't going to make it this year, but there's something big that probably will, and we'll find out about it soon...
Guy who made Hoodoo is a fucking idiot and his map sucks.
Though I do believe him.

I wonder what big thing he referred to? A Class Update? A Christmas Update? Or maybe even... the Crafting Update?
Man, if they ever implement the Crafting system, i'd probably play TF2 a lot more...
I hope it's good
I want crafting to come out.
Sounds interesting.
still awaiting proof that robin actually told Nineaxis this

Guess.
By the way, this map was beta Gravelpit.
If Crafting is done, I hope it's similar to the Horadric Cube from Diablo 2. In that game, you used certain objects, like weapons, armor, gems, runes, etc, to create all sorts of different stuffs. For example, 3 Health Potions + 3 Mana Potions + 1 Chipped Gem = 1 Rejuvenation Potion.
But I don't think Valve'd do Potions or anything like that, although Bonk! is effectively a kinda Invulnerability Potion. But what I do hope to happen is something like combining items to yield unique Unlockables an' the like, such as combining Bonk! and Jarate to create a Soda that gives a temporary mini-crit boost or something like that.
Crafting just has BOUNDLESS potential.

No. 3 health potions + 3 mana potions + a perfect gem yielded a full rejuv potion. Which was stupid, because 3 health potions and 3 mana potions yielded a normal rejuvenation potion, and 3 rejuv potions made a full rejuvenation potion. I always preferred the yellow color for the rejuvenation potions, too.
Off topic-ness is done, I would like to request boxes to pack it up.

Drink piss with an energy drink? How would that help?
Drink piss with an energy drink? How would that help?
Well, you see, you get bonk effects but for the duration of the effect you also have 35% crits with all your shots, but while under bonk you can't attack, so you get nothing more than regular bonk with a more zesty taste.
Awesome.

That's Furnace Creek, not Hoodoo. The post on TF2M was made by Nineaxis, not Youme.
Natascha + Flaregun = SUPER FLARE LAUNCHER11111
Nah, but I wonder if it will have some sort of weapon customization, with effects like sparkle, colors, etcetera. But most likely it will be like 2 Axetinguishers + 2 Backburners + 2 Flare guns = 1 Pyro hat.
Drink piss with an energy drink? How would that help?
Well, Jarate coats enemies with mini-crits, and if you used some kinda spytech chemistry lab to combine the mini-crit aspect of Jarate with the radioactive energies of Bonk!, thus creating a modified radiation frequency that acts similar to a Kritzcrieg, except with mini-crits.
It could go either way, too. For example, there could be a 50/50 chance of getting either an energy drink that gives you mini-crits or a Jarate that deals minor damage over time from deadly radiation.
You gotta think into the realms of possibility, man.
Christmas Update, Christmas hats and achievements, calling it.
Will give Twilight: New Moon tickets if It's not that.

I'd rather have something valuable.
Free Red Vines candy?
But still, Crafting would be awesome if you could craft special unlockables through combining other unlockables, you gotta admit that at least...
Xmas update would be p cool, too bad it's a bit obvious the hat would be a santa hat.

that's what they want you to think
But still, Crafting would be awesome if you could craft special unlockables through combining other unlockables, you gotta admit that at least...
Except then the game would be dramatically unbalanced by the fact that people with massive collections of dupes would have a fuck ton of the special unlocks, while everybody else wouldn't have more than maybe one or two.
And plus, nobody would be close to being on equal footing. In the stock game, no unlocks, everyone playing Sniper has the same setup. Hell, even now just about everyone playing Sniper has the same setup. There's little possible variation. With the 'special unlockables' situation, there'd be so much possible variation it would be impossible to predict who's got what. This isn't Borderlands, Goddamnit.
Edit: Okay my point at the beginning of the post veered off into other points, but it still stands.
Demoman would be wearing this
