• TF2 Problem - Help GREATLY Appreciated!

Kinda self-explanatory title here. SO! As long as I can remember I've been having one seriously fucked up problem with Team Fortress 2, and it goes some-what like this: I launch and play the game normally, regardless of my stats, every once in a while my screen turns black/gray/brown/whatever colours, and they are all pointing to the middle of the screen. The colours moving and changing their places fast and shit. Really annoying. Only solution I've came up with is to jump to desktop and back to game. As you know, TF2 is extremely fast paced action shooter so jumping to desktop and back to game usually ends up with my being blown apart. Annoying. Here is a picture of what's going on. I couldn't get a better view of this, but just imagine this picture having more and more colours (depending on my environment I guess, like texture colours and so on) and them moving as I move around trying to find cover. I've tried almost anything. My specs are: nVidia 8800GTX(786MB), Intel Core 2CPU 6600(2.4ghz) and 2gigabytes of RAM. My specs are fine, really. On top of that I've lowered graphics (I keep player models some-what high, not best) and recently updated graphic-drivers. Also my PC temperatures don't seem too high. Also my OS is Windows XP. So please, if anyone of you has experienced this same problem, please tell me how I can solve this. Also ask if you think you need to know something to further investigate my problem or whatever. :saddowns:
I had this with the exact same graphics card and same amount of ram (but 3GHz Processor). I updated graphics and motherboard drivers, fixed it.
Thanks for reply. Any others? Please, every little tip will be appreciated.
wait for official instructions
I had the same problem with gmod on my last laptop, mobile version of same graphic card series - seemed to happen mainly with objects with transparency shaders on screen (a guess since it would happen in perfect sync with the "no collide toggle" stool). I never did get it fixed & valve/garry couldn't help, so I guess I'd try first reducing graphics settings and/or updating drivers.
I'm not sure how I can update my motherboard drivers. There's some ABIT program -> ABIT uGuru -> Flashmenu. It has some options on it, like "One Click LiveUpdate!", it doesn't work though. Then there's "Live Update Step by Step", I clicked on it and it says Click OK to download new BIOS. I didn't press OK, because.. well I don't wanna fuck up my PC any further. I just wanna play TF2 God damnit! [editline]07:59PM[/editline] Oh and then there's this ABIT uGuru program, its just some overclocking program I guess, has different modes on it and shit. Temperatures and hertz and what-not. I don't think it has nothing to do with updating drivers. [editline]08:00PM[/editline]
wait for official instructions
I've had this problem for like a year so no more waiting.
