A guy(Swizzle) over at Polycount is making the 1800 version of the Engie. Thread here: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=74716
That looks awesome!
Sadly... he looked better in black and white.
I feel sad how many of these polycount entries will never be available for public use except for the winners unless I misread something somewhere
That's a fantastic flow of colour on the apron.
I like those gloves.
Yes we've all seen the photoHOLY DICKS [editline]04:07AM[/editline] Tell him to work on that facial hair
Isn't that the 1800's scout?
I expected the photo. Jizzed instead.
Isn't that the 1800's scout?
no
Actually, he has a hammer in that model, however in the image from the comic, he doesn't have a hammer, but what he does have is a messenger bag. So in the comic he would appear to be a scout. While the model passes him off as the engy.
Fuck yes that is awesome :O
So in the comic he would appear to be a scout. While the model passes him off as the engy.
But the Scout is the small guy sitting in front of everyone :O You aren't telling me that little puny thing is Engineer right?
God damn swizzle is an awesome modeller.

As for the Demo/Heavy, I'm not too sure about them, if the black guy in the back isn't the Heavy, then no one can be the heavy, however the demo is supposed to be black.

Scout and engineer are mixed up. Like said before It's Nikola Tesla and Billy the Kid.
Is it just me or the demo looks like Quagmire from family guy?
Sure the messenger bag does somewhat imply that he might be the Scout, and the small guy in the front having a cowboy hat seems to fit in with Engineer being a Texan. However I still feel that based on the fact that they all have different looks and some different nationalities than their counterparts... I feel that their proportions suggest otherwise.
And... Scout and engineer are mixed up. Like said before It's Nikola Tesla and Billy the Kid.
Exactly. The engy has a bag with blueprints and is holding a tuning fork.
Exactly. The engy has a bag with blueprints and is holding a tuning fork.
Ah, now that you mention the tuning fork, it makes sense, I couldn't really make out what it was before.

The 'newspapers' are actually blueprints, he's holding a wrench and he looks like Tesla, a famous inventor. Why the flying fuck would a scout have newspapers anyway?
You are dumb and wrong.
Chill out.
Why the flying fuck would a scout have newspapers anyway?
He strikes me as a paper boy.
dicknose
I think the red is too vivid for 1800s. If they made it a little less saturated it would look better.
Chill out. He strikes me as a paper boy.
Don't you think he looks rather old for a paper boy? And inapropriately dressed? It's like saying the medic is a carpenter, because he's holding a saw.
I think the red is too vivid for 1800s. If they made it a little less saturated it would look better.
I think that if these models are going to work as replacements in the TF2 environment, they need to be colored like their counterparts :O
Don't you think he looks rather old for a paper boy? And inapropriately dressed? It's like saying the medic is a carpenter, because he's holding a saw.
Well I've already acknowledged that he is in fact Tesla, but he doesn't look that old, it's the moustache giving him the look of age.
The Scout has that smug, conceited look on his face... God damn, people. How could anyone mistake him for something else?

He looks too modern, somehow...
As for the Demo/Heavy, I'm not too sure about them, if the black guy in the back isn't the Heavy, then no one can be the heavy, however the demo is supposed to be black.
the demo in tfc is white.
