Whenever I start up TF2, after about 10 seconds my Server List will disappear off the face of the earth.
My favorites list returns, but I need to wait for about 5-6 minutes before it happens so that I can join a server.
This wouldn't be such a big deal if it weren't coupled with the irritating crashes my TF2 suffers from after about 40 minutes of playing.
I have been suffering from this problem for about 3 weeks already and I am becoming very irritated by this.
So can anyone offer help?
I also get this, when I search servers with thumbnails, but I fix it with clicking the "stop resfreshing" button.
Try that. If it doesn't work, I don't really know how to help.
i can't offer help, but i can back you up. happened to me today... (first time playing in 1 week)
I often have trouble where the server list goes away for a few minutes, but I never experience crashes.
At least I'm not the only one suffering from these, but I already tried what Greendead said and it didn't work.

I have heard that it may be a connection problem with my service, but I have yet to get any further info other than that...
press the stop search button or something along those lines while it searches.
this happens to me sometimes, but it goes away after a while...
