Well I use photoshop sometime to make signatures and that kind of things, you know, typical thing you do with photoshop. I would like to make TF2 signatures but I haven't got good ones so I would like to know if you have some for me.
I know you can make them with Source SDK but I don't have any idea how so please, If you have a tutorial or something it could be useful too.

Here,I uploaded this one on Planet Renders 8 months ago.

Nice showing off there Thundermanz.
Anyway, my method is not necessarily the best but here goes. For getting renders of HL2 models, I open & pose with HLMV. Then I take one screenshot with a black background, one with a white background, both using PrintScrn (I always crash using the built-in screenshot function). In Photoshop I make four layers, two per image, then put one above the other. I set the top one to Difference, which creates a black and white mask. Flatten those two layers, invert the result, then load one of its colour channels as a selection. You can then use that to mask the original image and get a fairly clean outline.
This works decently if you force anti-aliasing too (via your graphics card settings), though I'd advise taking a third screenshot against the background colour you're likely to use.
Google Half-Life Model Viewer tutorial.
If nothing comes up I could explain.
It's pretty easy to learn.
Thunermanz. Did you make them?
They're premade renders though, not ones you made in HLMV.
There are some awesome ones on TF2 Wiki if you're interested in making more.

Interesting way of getting a transparent background.
I generally just use a block color and use the magic selection.
This may give me cleaner edges, thanks for the info.
Yes I did,but I don't use them in main showcase (most of them)
Eh better idea:
Open SDK,grey BG,model,snipping tool (screenshot).
Photoshop,wand tool,3% opacity,wand,delete,done.
Eh... I use bright green or purple background and magic eraser
[img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1734627/hlmvprocess.PNG[/img_thumb]
No need, since 3% opacity easily notices the difference.
Also,it needs more anti-analising.
Also,it needs more anti-analising.
Doesn't work for me, despite my efforts :sigh:
EDIT: And the green is so I can easily see where spots that need removal are

I was remaking the character poses for the hat showcases with AA and I gave up.
Thanks guys for your post. The problem I have is when I try to pose the models; I don't know how.
For example I don't know how to make the pose that Rolfman did and neither center the camera near de head and those things.
When I google Half-Life Model Viewer Tutorial I only get tutorials to change texture.
left click allows you to orbit the model or rotate them depending on where you click
right click allows you to zoom in or out
shift click allows you to pan the model
ctrl click lets you move the light

Under the "Render" tab at the bottom, make sure "Normal Mapping" is checked (it's not by default).
The "Sequence" tab allows you to play in game animations. Animations like Melee_Crouch_Swing require you to have the top animation set to Crouch_MELEE, then put the Melee_Crouch_Swing slider all the way to the right. They should blend automatically. If you don't get what I mean just play around with it.
The "Model" tab allows you to set bodygroup visibility. Things like the various class' hats, spy's mask, etc.
The "Flex" tab allows you to facepose. A lot of times you don't get ALL the flexes, so check to make sure.
I don't know what the "Physics" tab is for I never use it.
Same with the "Bones" tab.
The "Attachments" tab is mostly just useful for removing the red, blue, and green set of lines. Open it up and click "(none)".
I don't know what "IKRule" is for.
I think "Events" is mostly for playing a sound during the animation but I don't know.
To set Antialiasing and Anisotropic Filtering on HLMV, you'll need to force them using your Video Card driver control panel.. Eg. nVidia Control Panel, 3d settings, etc..
The sounds for animations should already play.

HURR HURR STUFF.
I think you need to lay off the gradient overlays and random downloaded brushes, stop following tutorials and try your own thing. :ohdear:
Every one of those signatures looks alike in almost every way. :O
Only those with true skill take a picture then get up really close (3200x zoom) then use a 2-3 pixel eraser to erase around the edges. :smug:
This reminded me I could still do this

This one is pretty cool.
The rest. Meh.
Source SDK contains models and textures so you can import them into your favourite 3D app and render them yourself. Pretty cool.

Or you could use the SDK's cfgs.
Or you could use the SDK's cfgs.
I can't seem to find that..
I was looking at this: http://www.fpsbanana.com/tuts/9044 but I don't seem to have that file.

Anyone mind telling me why? Do I have to make it?
No.
It should be there.
Try verifying SDK's cache.

I did. It's not.
Reinstalled it, too.

Odd.
I dunno what to suggest.
Perhaps you could speak to the creator of the tutorial.
Oh bawls. I just googled "half life model viewer tutorial antialias" and got this thread.
Handy.

I got someone else to install it. They don't have it either.
Anyone with it mind uploading it somewhere? I doubt it will work, but it's worth a try.
Are you 100% positive you're looking in the right place?
Could you copy the tutorial to me, maybe by PM, as for some reason it isn't showing up.

That's handy...
I KNOW I've seen a more indepth tutorial.
Perhaps we should find that.

That pose is from an animation?
Also I did this

I still don't know how to:
1)Load weapons and move them.
2)Turn graphics up and put ani-aliasing.
Well TF2 goes perfect in my PC with hight graphics and anti-aliasing.
PD: Ok I read what not ryan posted. I would try it but I haven't got dxsupport.cfg
The edges are bad.
You can't load 2 weapons at once, you load first weapon, take screenshot, then load second weapon without moving model and take screenshot.

ugh.
Aliasing and the Low resolution..
As said above, you need to edit a cfg.
And you Load Weapons by clicking on 'Load Weapon...' under File
Then finding the weapon.
