Console won't open when enabled?

Hello fp.

I recently bought a new computer after my old one suddenly stopped working.....

I downloaded team fortress 2 and left 4 dead on my new pc, when i try to enable console ingame, it doesnt open....

any help?

Yeah, it says it is enabled, but it doesnt open .

Now, it only occurs on L4D

Well, type -console as launch option, and when the console comes up, type:
bind "f12" "toggleconsole"
That makes the console appear when you press f12.

Right click on tf2 in the library, Properties, Set Launch Options
