• Why kids should keep out of TF2

A Norwegian 13-year old spent $4,500 in the Mann. Co store with his father's credit card, claiming he thought he was spending fictive money. Original article: http://www.nrk.no/nyheter/1.7417609 English (Google): http://translate.google.com/translate?js=n&prev=_t&hl=no&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&sl=no&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nrk.no%2Fnyheter%2F1.7417609&act=url Maybe require the credit card info to be re-entered every time? Also, a few things aren't quite right. The purchases are said to have started March 2010, a few months BEFORE the Mann Co store was released. The article heavily implies TF2 to be a gambling game, claiming the kid gambled away the money in the game. It also says the store is trying to fool people by not being serious-looking, even though you have to go through the Steam Store and verify your credit card details to add funds to your Steam Wallet before purchasing things.
Isn't TF2 18+?
lolno 15 18? Where did you get that from? Sure, you can get gibbed, but it's very cartoony.
lolno 15 18? Where did you get that from? Sure, you can get gibbed, but it's very cartoony.
Welcome to Germany. And it's still cut despite the rating.
rated m for mature
It's got a 15 on the UK box.
What the fuck did he buy He had to of bought from other players, or he couldn't of possibly spent 4.5k on items. Now, assuming he bought the most expensive item possible (A polycount hat for 17.50) as many times as his inventory would allow (200) it'd only ring up 3,500 dollars.
I dont care who do I play with as long as they dont cheat
what the fuck did he buy he had to of bought from other players, or he couldn't of possibly spent 4.5k on items.
Crap load of keys, nametags, paint etc?
Nice trolling.
Crap load of keys, nametags, paint etc?
He would have had to of bought a combination of 1,807 keys, nametags, and non-team spirit paints.
He would of had to of bought
fuck i want bad spelling
How could all this stuff stand in his backpack ?
What if he bought bundles or crafted away/traded away stuff he bought? Maybe for Unusuals?
What if he bought bundles or crafted away/traded away stuff he bought? Apparently he didn't get the store at all.
Quite impossible. "Items bought from the Mann Co. store are not tradable or craftable unaltered" I bet he bought about 1,000 keys.
I'm a Norwegian 13 year old. I spent $300 in the Mann Co store. Have I just met my long lost brother?
[img_thumb]http://img258.imageshack.us/img258/5140/babysitter.png[/img_thumb]
Apparently the organization he's working for is called barnevakten, which sounds perfectly good in Norwegian. Google translate is so full of win.
