Does anyone know how they actually made the robot voices for MVM?

What i'm wondering is what process they did to make the clips, what tool did they use to make them and all that nonsense.
I'd like to know this too, the way the official ones sound are a lot better than the ones I made trying to copy the way the official ones sound with GoldWave.
Maybe you should post in the emporium thread

It's simple audio engineering trickery.
They most likely took the original voice's of the characters and applied some voice modulators or something overtop. Simple audio plug-ins can do this. The emporium won't know jack shit. Email Morasky@valvesoftware.com
If a response is gotten, please post it here.
Mike Morasky does orchestral scores. Asking him about this would likely be fruiteless. I'd try the international Valve redirect service. Eric.

Wrong. He's the composer but also works on audio engineering. He does a lot of sfx and more too. Noah Landis is his main guy but I don't have permission to use his mail.
Mike will be perfectly able to answer his question.
I think they use voice filters or something, like how Valve made the Pyro's voce muffled
Speaking of Pyro, what happened to his voice during Scream Fortress '13? :(

Valve didn't change it, there's a mod in GameBanana somewhere that adds the muffled voice

That just makes it sound worse imo

It sounds more like Pyro than it did before, that works for me.

My opinion is better than yours etc
it's more than a cheap shit filter
listen to the robosoldier's pain sounds, there's some incredible disortion

Shame they didn't add similar distortion to their crit death sounds.

Someone make this a mod
There's actually a mod I use that makes their deaths sound like a messed up computer. For example, a scout bot will scream (warning: maybe loud) like this and then about one second in, it stops and then repeats that part over and over like when your pc crashes. :v: There's also many different types of "crashes" for different classes and it's not for everyone, but I love it.
If you want better death sounds for the robots, I use this one http://tf2.gamebanana.com/sounds/20534 makes the robots death sound more convincing.
