So, this is a dumbass question, but is it true? Ives heard that many of my friends have had lag and they reinstalled. im currently having the same problem. Will it help?
It might help with frame rate issues if you have custom content or other things bogging up your game. Not network lag.
so theres nothin i can do about scouts freezing in midair?
uninstall all the hats
Are you talking about game lag or network lag?

might as well posts your computer spcecs and let us see if your hardware is the problem.

Type in the console "net_graph 1" (and if you want it centered, net_graphpos 2. Read about it here). It'll tell you your FPS and if it's network lag, you'll notice there will be a higher "in" number than out (I think. Or is it the other way round. I forget). If your 'lerp' is flashing yellow/stays yellow, that means you're getting packet loss and is network related (orange is fine, as is white). Network lag - No. Uninstalling the game won't do anything. You may need to use bandwidth monitoring software/prioritising software to make TF2 use most of the connection. FPS lag/low FPS - update your GPU drivers if possible and/or/both run with Chris' Maxframes/High Frames configs. He's stopped updating them (and yet to find someone to take the reins) so you may get console spam about some commands needing cheats activated or missing but hey, if it the game becomes playable, anything will do.
