Improved client-side critical attack prediction for rapid-fire weapons (i.e. Flamethrower, Minigun)
improved... shouldn't this be perfect already? :p (assuming it means the bug where it sometimes thinks you're going to crit, gives you crit effects, then doesn't deal critical damage)
Fixed the equip_region for tournament medals conflicting with other items
I only emailed Eric about this earlier today, that was a pretty quick turnaround.

oh sweet they added a new prompt that tells you to update the game to play MvM and it even appears every single time after you updated, stopping you from connecting to a lobby!
Woot, that makes the final suggestion of "change-to-miscs" from a long email I wrote back in March accepted into the game. I'd actually gone through and done other hats on a case-by-case basis (i.e. hats that didn't clip with Virtual Reality Headset / Safe'n'Sound, engineer helmets that were capatible with Big Country/Peculiarity/Mining light, etc.) but that would have required a lot more work.
An update for Hammer? Wow. Given it's a small one, but still, wow..
How come I didn't see this thread when i first hopped onto the TF2 section, but when I posted a thread about the update and went back to the section, it appeared? I think Firefox is fucking with me now for shits and giggles.
and it even appears every single time after you updated, stopping you from connecting to a lobby!
GC hasn't been restarted - MvM matchmaking is currently impossible, as the client is reporting a higher GC version than what the GC is on at the moment.
GameCube?
GC = game coordinator. Handles matchmaking, items, and dishes out abandons (for Mann Up).
GameCube?
Game coordinator. Edit: Ninjed. I blame my slow Internet and myself.
GC = game coordinator. Handles matchmaking, items, and dishes out abandons (for Mann Up).

Game coordinator.
Silly me, thinking TF2 was controlled by a Gamecube. That's what I get for not sleeping for 2 days in a row.
Silly me, thinking TF2 was controlled by a Gamecube. That's what I get for not sleeping for 2 days in a row.
no, don't you get it? wicked IS the gamecube and he's lying to you
This means Pyro has another misc unusual and this makes me happy
I'VE ASKING FOR THE PYROMANCER FOR ABOUT A YEAR AND A HALF. THANK YOU BASED ERIC SMITH.
- Updated the plugin_load command - Servers can only load plugins if they are not running a map - Clients can only load plugins if they are not connected to a server
Does this mean that the exploit that was posted not too long ago has been patched? If so, awesome!
Does this mean that the exploit that was posted not too long ago has been patched? If so, awesome!
This exploit?
Binary being downloaded from tf2 server and executed. It's also possible to upload and execute binaries on servers from clients. Valve have known about this for over a week :( [vid]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/14265905/share/2014-05/2014-05-13_17-40-06.webm[/vid]
I sure hope so, I've been avoiding TF2 ever since it was posted since it seems like a disaster waiting to happen.
This exploit? I sure hope so, I've been avoiding TF2 ever since it was posted since it seems like a disaster waiting to happen.
This happened in Garry's mod a few weeks back. This could be really dangerous in the wrong hands. Why hasn't valve done anything about this though? It's been popular and Valve should've caught it. This is scary, as it can easily be abused.
Why hasn't valve done anything about this though? It's been popular and Valve should've caught it.
Because IIRC there's like....2 people working on Team Fortress 2 thanks to Valve's company structure.

This is scary, as it can easily be abused.
It could've been fixed with the most recent patch, as the whole patch itself wasn't aimed at "TF2" alone, it was also aimed at the source engine itself where I presume the exploit was executed. Can anyone confirm/deny?
