I reinstalled TF2 today after a few months of not playing it, and for some reason my game has been ridiculously jittery and doing basically anything results in constant skipping around.
I deleted the "custom" folder entirely, thinking that a viewmodel mod I had installed broke, but that didn't fix anything. I tried freeing up hard drive space, disabling my antivirus, reinstalling, playing the game with nothing running in the background, and verifying the game cash, but nothing worked.
Apologies if I shouldn't have made a thread here, I couldn't find a megathread that seemed it would welcome questions like these.

Here's a video showing off my problem. It's most noticeable during the rocket jumps. I had 5 ping during the recording, which obviously couldn't have been the problem.
looks like a problem with your internet.
also, this doesn't warrant it's own thread. please post in the general or another relevant thread for future reference
I can sometimes have 20-40 ping on a server but have that same problem. Could maybe be your upload and download speeds. Mine are really bad.

I'll try restarting my router and/or PC when i get the chance, I remember seeing a blue circle over the network logo; that might be what's causing it.
And thanks for the heads up.
This script tells you what the lag could be caused by, as far as what the Source Engine is handling. I use it to tell if it's a problem on my end caused by either network lag from download/ upload speeds or really anything else.
How about this:
TF2Mate comes with the netgraph tab script, and is generally a good website for setting up configs.

Try this sometime. It helped me with wasting less time, of course you can config your supplied files to your liking should you find some settings unsatisfactory.
There isn't a megathread for technical difficulties, which, should probably exist because this game can
get extremely buggy. Like Punchy said, the general chat is your best bet. Some might say Major
Speculation Thread but it might seem off-topic in this case.
