• [Valve Email] Autographed Items

Back in 2011, I had and idea, where Self-Made item owners can autograph people's items, so I emailed valve about it, and they responded. I decided to share it now, after over 2 years wait, I pretty much forgot about it, but just found it sitting in my email. https://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/1205x598q90/534/yj6k.jpg
This is interesting, and they infact implemented this for Dota 2 items at live events, but this didn't reeeeallly need a whole thread for it in my opinion.
I have like 60 signed items, knowing my luck it's never going to happen Not like I'm going to trade them. Someone told me a while back it was happening, i got so excited ;-;
someone had me "sign" theirs by trading me their item and a gift wrap, then have me gift the item back to them.
yeah that's the conventional method, but it still costs you a gift wrap and isn't very fun, and i'm sure constantly being asked to sign items can get annoying

It would be cool if you knew the self-made dude, but this would just be another thing that makes random teenagers from around the world message you to get an arbitrary tag on their item.
Wait, that pretty much is what an autograph is supposed to be...
Wish they'd done it this way. It's a better system than gifting. Also wish they had the system Dota 2 has for stranges. "Kills" are a seperate part that you can attach to any item, so there aren't things like rare stranges that go for buds or anything, just uncommon strange counters.
