Do not craft your hats to get another. - Games

You can craft 2 hats to get a new one. Don't. Here's what happened. I craft 2 Heavy Helmets then get a Stove pipe. "Aw, Sweet." I craft Two Sniper hats. I get a panama. '...Ew." Craft Viking Helmet and Panama. ANOTHER PANAMA. It's not worth it. I went from 11 hats to six in 15 minutes. Treasure your hats.

Gibus + Bag you can't even use = Class Hat? But I'd never give up the Gibus.

I went from 4 hats for classes I never play, to 1 hat that I play a ton, and 1 that I play more than the others. Its just a test of luck.

You can't craft event hats.

You craft two hats and get one hat in return. And you are surprised because you now have less hats? Here's the math for you: every time you craft a new hat, you have one less hat total. The point is to craft your dupes on the off-chance that you get something new.

It's your own fault for crafting away all your hats. It's a RANDOM chance, not a sure-fire way to get a "better" hat.

Not that - I'm surprised that I got a shitty hat, crafted it with another, than got the same hat again.

Easy, the Viking Helmet refused to be combined into that maggot hat and ran away. :ms:

I wanted a medic hat, put in 2 spare fedoras and got a mirror. Fuck yes. I wanted a pyro hat, meant to put in a 3rd fedora (I had 4) and my baseball bills sports shine, but accidently put the sports shine in and the mirror - I got the respectless rubber glove. R.I.P. Mirror :(

Sometimes you get something good, sometimes you get a duplicate hat or something bad. /thread

I've only got the beret and a gibus. I'm not using either to craft.

One of the guys on the Golden Machine gun server did this today. He crafted his Prussian Picklehub and his Glenggarry Bonnet together, and he got a crappy Trophy Belt. Also everyone on the server got a camera beard at some point.

I crafted a second Pickelhaube and a second Trophy Belt to get a second Ten Gallon. I wish you could at least use a class token with those. Then I would've tried for a good Heavy hat.

I crafty the shitty tooth belt and the 'fro (I can't play and don't like demoman). I got the Baker boy, one of the hats I've been wanting. It's a gamble.
