To exaggerate: Even if a purple piece of shit is super-rare, it's still a piece of shit. Supply AND demand. Apparently Max' Head is both wanted and rare or at least that's what SPUF says. Community Weapons are given for special contributions like translations and making useful sites (DF got a Comm Knife for TF2Items) and all that. People who make items get a Self-made version of the item they made with that description.
Am I the only one that finds it incredibly ironic that DF got a community knife then later "backstabbed" Valve by leaking the Golden Wrench craft times?

Yes, Valve gives self-made items out for people who got their items in the game. Of course, Valve hasn't given out any for the Christmas update yet.
Valve time applies even with their community contributors.
I like how vintages are valued more than nonvintages yet there's like more vintage versions than nonvintage versions of all the hats.
I find it funny that I wanted to trade my Handyman's Handle and trade it for a Rubber glove and the guy said I'm stupid and the Rubber glove is rarer.
