Well, I'm on this stuff since a little 30 minutes, and it's getting me on my nerves.
I can't find the file to modify (.res, normally) to remove the big, obvious, irritating and sight blocking message at the beginning of every Badwater, every Dustbowl, and every map that shows a message like that.
I already modified my tf_english.txt, for now i have a red box, with nothing inside. Better than nothing.
Help!
They'll be a bit more difficult to faff about with than normal HUD elements, because they're actually rendered by a shader system to make them look good at any resolution.
team fortress 2/tf/media/viewed.res
Set every map's value to 50 or more.
To be honest, I can't imagine what Valve were thinking of their playerbase when they considered we'd need to play a map 50 times to learn its goal.

Do you really doubt the stupidity of people?

A generic 2fort player you would find on a 24/7 2fort server still doesn't know the goal of the map.
