• Having some kinds of odd viewmodels "jitterings" since last update
    6 replies, posted
Since last update (the one that added blueprints to be exact), I've been getting some usual strange "jitterings" on my viewmodels and several other world models. By "jitterings" I mean my weapons (in first person) becomes invisible for about half a second, becomes visible again, then invisible again, ect ect, for a total of 1 second, this also happens on some other things for a second or so too, such as arrows in walls. At start it didn't really bother me, but it turns out it is really frustrating to see your weapons jitters when it happens quite often. (if you don't see what I mean, make a bindtoggle "a" "r_drawviewmodel", and press a repeatedly for 1 second, about every 9-12 seconds, it's pretty frustrating when playing, albeit not game breaking.) Do ayone have any ideas what might cause this? Again, it only started happening after the last "fix" update that added a new blueprint. No problems at all before. If you have any other odd bugs feel free to post it here, I guess. Edit- It somehow seems to do this only with demoman's weapons, I don't get it.
Only happens with my Direct Hit for some reason, every other weapon works fine. :v: Sorry though, I wish I knew a fix for it.
You probably used a so-called EXTRA GRAPHICS CONFIG Try to delete your cfg folder
Do you have any custom stuff? Perhaps you should Verify Cache?
I've tried verifying, then defragmenting caches, I also refuse to believe I'm using a so called "extra graphic config", since the game runs at a constant 300 fps, Max of S2D. Edit- It somehow seems to do this only with demoman's weapons, I don't get it.
The only way to fix this is to turn off this: cl_threaded_bone_setup I had the same problem when I had it turned on, I turned it off and this jittering dissapeared.
Oho thanks a lot man!
