Alright, I can't play games on my computer because it hates me, but I wanted to play TF2. So I got The Orange Box for Christmas, and even though it doesn't get updates, I still have fun with it.
But whenever I try to look up strategies and tips to help me out, all i can find are strategies for the computer version, using all the unlockable weapons. Is there just no love at all for the console players out there?
Aim and shoot usually does the trick.

fuck
I've been doing it wrong
real funny. But seriously, I'm pretty much the worst Spy ever, aside from one awesome incident that was just pure luck. I'd really like some help.

used to play 360. My friend made a guide with the basics and what not. he has other videos also
Well, from memory ( I jumped ship to the PC around the time of the scout update and it's a little fuzzy) they never did the weapon fix for spies on the 360.
So, if you see a class running about with their secondary or melee weapon they are not a spy. Conversely, if you see a person with a primary weapon out they could be.
Also: if you see a "friendly" spy wearing a mask they are on your side.
Early episodes of the Control Point Podcast are from near release and pretty similar to the 360 version. Plus there are various class tutorials on Youtube that feature few unlocks.(Evildaedalus and pandapoops come to mind.)

Spy is very difficult to play on 360 because you can't refill your cloak with ammo/metal, you're stuck with the default watch, and your disguises are paper-thin (you always hold your primary weapon, spy-Medics don't have an Ubercharge counter).
My best advice is to watch this video:

It was made before all the PC updates so it should still be fairly accurate to the 360 version, plus it has some pretty good tips. Turn off annotations, though.
Just remember to pick up metal as spy
Always
Every single fucking weapon and building gib on the floor
Because if you don't your cloak will run out half a second before you're in a safe decloak spot.

:v:
In the xbox 360 version you can facestab and by facestab I mean run into their face and backstab them at once. With heavys it is more hit and miss but it generally works on other classes.

Not to mention Pyros are practically blind on the 360 version when I play. I'll be a disguised Spy, run right into them by accident, walk around them and they just keep going past me without a single thought of checking me.
Most of TF2 is learned by experience, figuring out the best techniques that work for you, since literally nothing works for everyone in this game.
For now try not to worry about being good or "thupar pr0" and have fun with it.
Don't look at enemies straight on when you're disguised.

You'd better just say: act natural. Act like a teammate. However that's really tricky as fuck, even though I'm trying to it'll simply never work...
The console version is hideously unbalanced. Go Demoman and spam grenades. Or go Spy because the people on the console version are too retarded to know how to deal with them.
Enjoy the parts with skywalking Soldiers BTW.

I used to play on the console version before I got PC, the soldier was amazingly overpowered, I was a decent soldier either way, but Jesus, the difference between them was amazing, I went 213 on Dustbowl over a span of two maps, it was terrible.

Wait, seriously? Fuck, that's insane hard, specially since i really depend on cloak rather than disguises.

You get used to using your cloak sparingly when you've played for such a long time without the ability to.
I used to play the xbox version of tf2 alot. Any specific class you want to know anything in?
Oh and just so you know, there is no new weapons or maps, just stock weapons and maps. And alot of map changes that differ in both versions.
Most strategies are for PC simply because a lot more people play on PC. We don't hate you.
How many people play tf2 on the xbox? I used to play the one on the pc version but there were literally like 6 servers and half of them were 2fort with 5 people on it.

I own the Orange Box on Xbox, and I decided to play some TF2, for the lols.
It was a game of Well, and I ran into RED's building, turned right then left and was confronted with a wall and no stairs. :psyboom:
Soldier/demoman are powerhouses on the 360 version, considering they have practically no counters other than themselves.
Also, when confronting spys NEVER WALK BACKWARDS- they will ALWAYS facestab you. Your best bet is to stand still or move towards them.
Shoot at people until they die.
Shoot at people until they die.
Never tried that before, seems difficult.
expect every match on 2fort to include people glitching out of the map
Get a better pc, I dont mean this to be an asshole remark, its just your better off playing it on the pc. You can make a gaming pc for pretty cheap if you know the right parts, and TF2 isnt the most graphicly advanced game.

Server mods, happens on PS3 too.
one time 2fort was fucked up with all these rooftops of the bridge being everywhere, blocking intel and letting people walk along to the roof without jumping. restricted a lot of things.
Edit:
I'd imagine Xbox gets worse than PS3
