Well recently I finally got off my ass decided to set up a few TF2 servers.
As of now they have SourceMod installed so you've got all your standard votemap/votekick etc functions.
Yes, the servers are hosted in Japan, so your pings might not be optimal, not much I can do about that.
These are hosted on my home 100Mbps up/down connection, on a Phenom II X3 720 OC'ed to 3.45Ghz with 4 gigabytes of DDR2-800 RAM, so everything else should allow for smooth running.
As of now I'm running 3 servers, a normal fighting server called FIGHT CITY - FIGHT Server, which is located at 219.123.225.139:27016, an achievement server with bots called FIGHT CITY - Achievement Server, located at 219.123.225.139:27017, and a tertiary server primarily reserved for fucking around/testing new plug-ins and such, called FIGHT CITY - Test Server, located at 219.123.225.139:27018. For now I am going to be installing the coded TF2 Beta weapons from [url]http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=864745[/url] on the test server, so if you want to try that out, drop by.
Anyways, feel free to drop by and have fun. As of now there isn't really anyone coming on these servers, though the achievement server tends to stay full.

Why do we need a Japanese FP server? Anyway, my ping from Germany is ~320ms, not that bad considering I usually get similar pings to Japanese server connections.
Well more servers never hurts, and I just happen to have a computer lying around that I don't use much, so now I'm hosting TF2 servers on it.
Also quite a few of my friends, and my self live here, so it's nice to have a place where we get good pings.
I hate having to post right after my self, but I recently set the servers to be sv_pure 0, and I installed SourceBans.
They're kind of empty right now, and I'd really rather more people join them. It's kind of a waste to have these servers running if no one plays on them.
because they're in japan.
no-one likes to play with a high ping and majority of members in here are from Europe, UK and America.

Maybe add some server monitor web thing in your OP.
Sounds cool. As long as they have sv_pure 0, sv_allow_wait_command 1, and aren't any more than 24 slots then they'll remain in my Favorites, where I'll join whenever they're active. :smile:
Something tells me that if I were join I would have the lowest ping of anyone there.
I get higher ping from those servers than from a US server. :frown:

Ah, my Fight server has 28 slots, but I'm open to suggestions.
I didn't know that anybody in Japan is actually playing TF2.

Most Japanese play on Playstations and Wii's.
Someone should play soldier on the servers, and spew out WW2-style comments. Using words Japs, commies (some Russians seem to frequent the server as well), and kamikazes is recommended.
