Hello folks, i am presenting you my 1st real attempt of making a Machinima with the Source Filmmaker. The Sound File was taken from a Scene from Monty Python's "Life of Brian". [release] It took me nearly 3 Weeks with breaks to finish it. I had to struggle with way too many bugs but all in all it is a lovely program to make machinimas. It is really annoying that the camera settings are gone when you reload your project. I do not recommend to cut the timeline to have different camera angles as you can only splice the sequence about 1-2 times until Source Film Maker crashes (may vary with system specs). Instead you should render every shot by itself without splicing and creating new cameras because even if you dont exceed the splicing limit it may crash anyway. [/release] Any criticism is highly appreciated.
Pretty good video, liked the part where medic says from our fathers fathers fathers... lolol
That's really great. Lipsyncing was way crisper/more accurate than most SFM stuff I've seen.
Wow. Really impressing! And who doesn't like Monty Python? I love your film, especially the lip-sync (:
I can never get bored of this scene.
Awesome [editline]1st March 2011[/editline] Awesome, All i can say is work on the animations. Instead of having them shake up and down.
Better than expected
Was the video megathread rule lifted or everyone is revolting?
Everything went better than expected. It was actually a good point made too :v:
Is it even possible to put faceposer scenes in the old TF2 beta? This was better than most SFM stuff, but it's still no match for something done in faceposer.
Awesome, All i can say is work on the animations. Instead of having them shake up and down.
Thank you! I tried out the shaking stuff to see if it gives their Dialogue more depth. I guess it is just a matter of taste :). But i guess your right i think i will try to make smooth animations in future.
Is it even possible to put faceposer scenes in the old TF2 beta?
I think so. there is an option to import faceposer vcd animation when you right click on your animation set (if i remember correctly).
This video is made of win.
You can never go wrong with Monty Python.
some of the voices didn't fit! but the spy and medic they were hilariously funny! :v:
It's excellent, but I suggest stopping them from moving their heads up and down so much while their talking. Makes it look a bit jittery.
