Well I have notice something that is starting to get me really paranoid. I made this simple object in hammer and saved it.
Object:

Now when I closed hammer and reopened the vmf I made the object in, the vertices are not as they were before. They are not aligned in the spot I had them before.

I'd say post this in the mapping section under gmod discussion.
I bet they have a solution.
I think it's because you're creating an invalid object. If I remember correctly if you do an error report it should tell you.
I have made that object over many many times from scratch in a new map hammer just hates it.
