Since I really like Alia's art and don't want to show her disrespect by posting in her thread (thanks for letting me know, Joyful Mystery), I'll just start an all-encompassing thread for my own designs, as well as any pre-existing designs you find that you want to post here, or for posting your own designs.

Female Heavy
Based primarily on Paula Deen for her bright, traumatizing grin that gets plastered all over cooking magazines, which cause me to nearly piss myself in terror when I'm standing in line at Publix and suddenly realize that her wild, psychotic eyes are locked dead on me.
Otherwise, I designed her to be legitimately fat, seeing as how male Heavy, even with the potbelly, still looks pretty hard. Also, as as I explained to people in my oopsie-posts, it's because I am creepy fetishmans.
Watching you as you sleeeeeeep.
So the end result is a psychotic, evangelical widow from Alabama with a kind-of-different minigun named Bubba, and yes, she is wearing a kevlar vest over her boobs for extra support AND protection. BECAUSE IT'S FUNNY I THINK?

Female Scout
I had no idea what to do with the Scout, but then suddenly I had a stroke of genius, the strain of which caused me to have an actual stroke. After years of physical therapy, I went back to this and remembered that I was designing these women to be their own characters, not just as translations of the male classes.
So basically the Scout is Demoman's daughter or his niece or something. Due to her American deficiency, she would obviously carry a cricket bat instead of a baseball bat, and I took a few references (like, one) from Demoman's design. Basically I don't know what the hell I've done here, but nobody's here to stop me so let's keep going.

And yes, I'm aware the legs look like shit.
Female Engineer
This one has a lot of... STUFF going on. Glorious stuff.
I was going to give her hair like the Bride of Frankenstein, and I still might, but I like this design. She's a scatterbrain, like most great scientists, and I think the design reflects that. She was either fired or left NASA to work as a merc, so she retains her former NASA jumpsuit as a coat. Instead of a wrench she uses a ratchet... all of these things are explained in the image.
Decided to make her weapons a little different than the male Engie's. The flame sentries spew fireballs, and the level 3 sentry has flamethrowers on a spinning gyro that constantly rotate so it's hard to get close to it and sap it.
Yes, flame sentries! So you don't have to feel BETRAYED AND FRUSTRATED when a Pyro decides to go off and play offense on the OTHER END OF THE MAP, leaving you alone to defend your buildings against droves of enemy spies... you can hear them... RATS IN THE WALLS...
...And the force fields would be like a shield barrier, and would be able to heal teammates, but not replace their ammo. They'd be a pair of pillars that emit this force barrier, and could either be destroyed if you hit their pillars OR they'd have a limited lifespan. No ammo can penetrate the force field. Different levels increase the size of the field and its hit points, and maybe increase its lifespan if that's what I decide to do for it. Airborne enemies can get to anyone if it's placed in an open area, and spies can sap it if they can get behind it.
Which is all a great way to compensate for the fact that unlike the last two designs, she has no personality or even nationality. I may decide to make her east Asian, or Asian American, but for now I don't really have anything in mind for how she actually acts.
SO THAT'S IT FOR NOW. HEY, HOW'SABOUT SOME HELPFUL CRITIQUES ON THE ART TO HELP ME IMPROVE?
Keep in mind, you guys are free to post your own designs here, or designs you like that you've found. Just a general Female Fortress 2 thread. I'll just sit here pulling my hair out and sobbing because I'll be looking at your own awesome concepts and thinking, "why didn't I think of that?!"
Next of mine will be the Soldier, a former member of the Women's Royal British Army Corps. Anyone know if the UK ever developed their own variations on the RPG, or could suggest a rocket-or-explosive-launching, shoulder-mounted apparatus I could use for her? Thankyuh.
Again, if I make any "new guy" mistakes, let me know, and I will decide if they are legitimate and if I am going to listen.
Please don't use Imageshack

Why is the scout black
That heavy is terrible.
Why is the scout black

So basically the Scout is Demoman's daughter or his niece or something.
That's why.
Can somebody please reupload the pictures to imgur?
The Heavy looks like she was more designed for a BBW fetishist than for a female counterpart to the Heavy. She's god damned massive.
Suddenly the scout is demoman just because he wants to be different? He doesn't want to translate male scout > female scout so he translates male demo > female scout? No sense, just make up your own character concept from that point.
Femgineer is much too complicated and overly busy. Rather than being "practical" with anything, they've gone for the "sexy" look, tacking on tools to make it fit the role.
Well im pretty sure you guys didnt want them to look like sluts.
I love you.
Thank you all for replying!

The male heavy's legs are tiny. How can he walk without breaking them?
and scout fem looks demoman-ish
There's a reason for that.

It's all right, take it slow. We'll get through this! Breathe! Brreeeeathe!
Also the rapeface was intentional. She'll send you running the other way.
Well im pretty sure you guys didnt want them to look like sluts.
That's one of my goals, to make them look as varied as the male designs. Not ugly, but varied.

I'd love me too!
dear lord christ almighty that fem. heavy looks scary as fuck
Myes. <3
That's not a good thing.
I can't say anything to this without it being venomously sarcastic.
I'm trying to point out that it's terrible design.
And I did read, it still makes no sense to have any of those designs. The FemHeavy should NOT be designed to be beyond morbidly obese just because you want to fulfill your BBW fetish. The scout shouldn't be a demo counterpart (talking character concepts - demo being black, scottish, etc.,.) "just because". And just because the Femgineer is "scatterbrained" doesn't mean she should be visually busy.
Well im pretty sure you guys didnt want them to look like sluts.
I don't want them to be overly revealing, but I would at least want the female counterparts of the characters to be somewhat attractive. Well, presentable.
I really don't like any of those concepts.
(I can elaborate that tomorrow, it's getting late here me)

I see that, but all you've said is "it's a terrible design," i.e. that's all you've "pointed out."
And I did read, it still makes no sense to have any of those designs.
That's fine.

Hi, I'm an official concept artist for Valve and these are real concept designs that we'll be releasing next summer. Here, have a hat!
The scout shouldn't be a demo counterpart (talking character concepts - demo being black, scottish, etc.,.) "just because".
I'm okay with this.
Lots of people here seem to have a problem with characters being black...
And just because the Femgineer is "scatterbrained" doesn't mean she should be visually busy.
That too.
Constructive criticism is not "I don't like this and this and this," it's when you explain your reasoning that it becomes constructive. I don't care if you just "don't like fatty heavies or black scouts." I'm fine with these being terrible designs, I'm not doing them in any official capacity, but you seem hellbent on drilling this into my head, but you're doing a lackluster job at explaining why you hate my designs.
What is this I don't even.
Seriously though, these don't follow the style, aesthetics, design, or hell, anything, of TF2. You can't say these are TF2 characters just because the fat woman has a minigun, the black girl has a headset, and --oh god I can't stop staring at the terribly proportioned legs-- engineer woman has tools spilling out her ass. It's neat that you drew this and all, but it hurts my brain to think you would call these TF2 characters, female or otherwise- and maybe work on proportions and anatomy before design... Both need to be revisited...
this nerds replies are so long and useless i think my brain actually lapsed

I don't mind them. They're stylized, they're not in-game models.
The only complaint I have is that I think these would have gone better in the TF2 Media thread. Otherwise, it's not terrible at all.
the Fem-heavy's thighs are half the length of the minigun :frog:
and --oh god I can't stop staring at the terribly proportioned legs--
See that, Biodude? This is a critique.
On the proportions, I spent 3 hours trying to get the legs to look right. I usually measure body proportion out in heads, but I'm not so good with "seeing" distance. Could you tell me what I could do to fix that?
And I don't see how you can tell me they don't "fit the style" just because these don't look like straight-up translations of the male characters. I've been using references for the clothing style, the technology and the weapons. All are based on technology from the mid-century, so arguably I AM getting the asthetic right. I don't do well with stylization, is that what you mean?
I'm not just slapping random key items onto the characters and calling them TF2 characters, but I am keeping key things in mind. You're not going to get an engineer without tools. You're not going to get a heavy who isn't fat and who isn't carrying a minugun. The scout has to have a bat and a headset. I really don't give a shit what you think of one character's weight and another's ethnicity.

Perhaps you should try standing up more often. Helps pump the blood to those vital areas.
@Who ever is saying Fem Heavy idea comes from BBW
So just because shes overweight mean shes a part of a fetish.
That is just stupid.
I cant even Explain, if you were just joking around i'll take it back.
Now about the Scout, I don't think she should be Scottish.
I think she should be Latino because Latino chicks tend to have a 'Sassy' attitude
which would make a perfect rival for Male scout.Just to change things a bit more.
The Engineer needs some changes too.
The Heavy... make her Black maybe?
The Heavy is kinda hard to make a female variant.

FInally, a reasonable criticism amidst this sea of circle-jerking jerks! SOMEONE BEING REASONABLE!! I'd like your autograph.
Re: Heavy. I absolutely agree. I may have the fetish, but if I didn't, would I necessarily have to make her look unattractive? I'm asking everyone else, not you.
Re: Scout. I made her Scottish because she's related to the Demoman, who has a very boisterous personality, but so do a lot of them, so you may have a point. I was going to make the Scout a person of color anyway, so I might take you up on that.

Maybe make Engie North American-ish because girls in that area like to be more independent.

Actually, that wasn't a critique it was more of an insult. Looking back at my post, I was a pretty huge dick, and I'm sorry for that, you probably spent alot of time on your drawings and your designs, and I shouldn't have been so disrespectful and flippant in dismissing them.
You're main problem is that the legs you are drawing are disproportionate to the torso and head, for the Scout and the Engineer. The Scout has no defined hips, which should be present with the position her legs are in, and the absence of hips causes the trunk to look elongated and even further emphasize the odd shortness of her legs, so for the Scout you should add the hips and lengthen the legs. For the Engineer the problem is simply that her legs are far too short, and you need to redraw them to match the rest of her body. The legs should account for about half the total height of the character.
I'll throw together a drawing of my own as the OP suggests, figure I should contribute something besides snide remarks and a taint of douche-baggery.
