Then when does QTF\TFC take place? We are counting QTF\TFC as cannon since TF2 is a sequel? Does this make TF2 a prequel in the TF universe?

I don't really think the different Team Fortress games has a connection.
I don't consider TFC cannon.
:ms:
I don't consider TF < TF2 to have any canon at all.
I don't consider TF2 cannon.

Avatar fits. Also, TF2 is probably a prequel, although I don't think the games are connected.
TFC is set in the future space fantasy land of all Half-Life mods
World War 1. You just can't tell with the low-res graphics.
Obviously they had miniguns and flamethrowers and medi-guns and sentries and teleporters and rocket launchers that hold 4 rockets at once and sticky-mine launchers that can hold 8 at once in the 50s/60s.
You get the point. (I know it's a game, i'm just joking around)
All I have to say is: :iia:

TFC and QTF both take place in a holodeck within this this story
Its set in modern times i think with extreme overtonic stereotypes of nationalities

Anyway, TF2 is set in 1968, so TFC must be in 1958, and then QWTF in 1948. It's all cyclic :tinfoil:

Unfunny joke
My guess is....TFC is in a galaxy far far away
TFC is the scout's interpretation of what is going on. He is on so much bonk! that he thinks in low res just to compensate for the speed he is dealing with.
Old games had no storyline.
QWTF - Medieval times
TFC - The future
TFC didn't have much of a story, though Valve will probably try to hint at when TFC may have taken place.
i want to see more connecting between the three valve worlds right now: HL, P, TF2 (i dont consider TFC as canon.)
Because TF2 is in the same world as HL2 :downs:
The games aren't really connected in terms of canon, but knowing Valve, they might i suppose say in one of the new updates or sometime later on that it could be possible canon to mindfuck us...

Half Life and Portal are connected.
TF2 is in its own cartoony world.
And L4D is supposed to be its own world too, but it could be the HL/Portal world in the present day (but its doubtful).
To be honest, TFC and TF1 didn't have any canon storyline or anything related to it. It was just based on the original Half-Life, class based and multiplayer oriented.

The L4D series can't be related to the present date, considering that the Portal Storms (which brought all the Xenian creatures (antlions, headcrabs, bla bla bla) to Earth and left it in chaos) were sometime in year 200# and onward up till year 2010, where the combine invaded. And there's nothing whatsoever that points to the world being left in ruins by zombification according to the Half-Life series storyline.
Well, Opposing Force is canon too, so the Pyro is actually Adrian Shepard and the Medic is the G-Man's inner childhood.

As I said.
Its own world.

It all makes sense now ...
