• New sentry jumping skill?

Is this balanced because of the health trade off? Should it be nerfed or patched? Discuss. Also beat CP_skyscraper with this :sun: EDIT:Thanks to NanoSquid and no-named for my technical difficulties help. :smug:
Seems useful, but it might take to much health out of the engineer if he fails the jump.

Nevermind I finally did it. But I was on offline mode, and when I used my tele to get back up there, the tele exit just destroyed itself and I couldn't go through.

if you do it right, you can setup a sentry on the roof across the way, and rocket jump across the gap. Less damage taken, but takes accuracy. Also, why bother nerfing it? they're easy places to get to as any class with explosives. Valve would probably more readily playerclip or nobuild places than nerf a viable option. That's like asking the soldier to be nerfed for rocketjumping. It's just different tactics, adjust to it. you'll get used to it and kill the hell out of the engineers who're in very vulnerable spots. (Hard to get to, no place for the engie to run to, etc.) Also be glad the newest Valve maps have very little if any spots to do such a thing on. Kinda annoying, but understandable.
they wont patch it. It just like soldiers rocket jump.
Wow, this is very useful. The mini-sentry lv 3 I already knew it. But now that the valve fixed it. =/

Discuss.[/QUOTE] There are some spots that shouldn't ever be accesible, because soldiers and demomen cannot get up there and thus it can be considered gamebreaking to have a teleporter up there. If they tweaked the damage in such a way that you could get up to some intended spots but would die trying to get up to others that would work, alternatively INVISIBLE WALLS.
that spot is so old. like srsly. and there's hardly any room up there 3 stickies can take all your stuff out
That's why you don't stay there for long. It's an excellent way to get the jump on people below and then bail after they are all dead.

Most places horrible inaccessible has the teleporter destroyed upon use/built anyway (see the earlier screenshot). So give some examples. Also, most of the new valve maps have playerclips on a lot of the terrain. (aka invisible walls)
That second spot on badwater is new to me. That would be an extremely handy spot for a demoman or soldier to hide in. However a lot of those spots are probably impossible for an engy to reach. Some of them seem it looks like he only reaches them because he has infinite health.

You're essentially trapped up there. At least engie would have dispenser, but teleporters blow up. plus even while ducking, you can be shot at from the roof across the way.
