No shit Sherlock Why would he wear an eye patch if he had an eye
He should put the patch on the other eye
Isnt that what all people who are missing an eye have?
Really? I thought the eyepatch was just for show.
It's a very neat wound, all the same.
I want to know how he lost his eye in an explosion (y'know, being a demoman and all) and still managed to keep the rest of his face intact.
Somebody should alpha off the eye patch and stick another eyeball in there. You know, ruin the whole Black Scottish Cyclops thing.
I want to know how he lost his eye in an explosion (y'know, being a demoman and all) and still managed to keep the rest of his face intact.
He lost his eye as a child [editline]03:22PM[/editline] A fierce temper, a fascination with all things explosive, and a terrible plan to kill the Loch Ness Monster cost the six year old Demoman his original set of adoptive parents. Later, back at the Crypt Grammar School for Orphans near Ullapool in the Scottish Highlands, the boy's bomb-making skills improved dramatically. His disposition and total number of intact eyeballs, however, did not. so you could say his face healed while he grew up.

I heard many urban legends of people losing their eyes that way

Watch Meet the Sniper. He shoots the heavy, the bullet goes through his head, and hits the Demoman's bottle as he's drinking from it. A shard of glass hits his eye, and he starts launching grenades everywhere. That is how he lost his eye.
No. He lost his eye before.
He lost the same eye.... TWICE [sp]like a boss[/sp]
This, and it could've just been a piece of shrapnel that damaged his eye too badly to recover.
This is a decent enough assumption. My thoughts exactly.
This is a decent enough assumption. My thoughts exactly.
Quite agreed.

That's why he launches grenades in random directions and why he stumbles and falls.
Aaaaaaaaaaatually, the neck of the bottle is around the eye. If you get a freeze frame, you can see that his eye is still intact.
I want to know how he lost his eye in an explosion (y'know, being a demoman and all) and still managed to keep the rest of his face intact.
Have you ever heard the story of Phineas Gage?
Someone should take off the eyepatch and insert the Eyelander eye-glow thing into his eye socket
