I was recently talking to a friend of mine who is a great source of TF2 beta content, Firebeast, and he sent me an image link to a high-res version of one of the ingame TF2 backgrounds that you see when you connect to a server. I mean, this thing clocked in at 2,607 x 3,197 with a filesize of 3.35MB (in JPG format). Turns out there are WAY more images on this particular site, most of which you can easily find around the net, but not in such high resolution.

To find new things, all you have to do is modify the last 3 digits of the "374###" parts of the URL. There is tons of stuff to be found on this site. Here's the thing, it's not just TF2 images. There are images of everything. Tons of games, washing machines, you name it. Firebeast has narrowed Orange Box content down to being in the "374" directory.
You can even change the "374" bits to "373" (or any other 3 digit number) and play around with the last 3 digits of the six digits to find other stuff.
[b]Post whatever you find! Orange Box images seem to start around 374800, but I would try going backwards from 800, see if there's anything else to be found that nobody has seen before.[/b]

If you set the numbers in the url it'll change how many it sniffs through. also if you change baseNum you can set whatever 374 would be. to get real crazy. i might add a couple more mods here and there as the night goes on to make it a bit less shitty so beware of changes.

Just made a little program that allows you to randomize between the images. You can casually go and press the "Randomize!" button, or just change the number it searches. I plan on making this open source soon, so keep an eye on it.

In fact, medic is the only one that seems to show any change.

If i keep doing it, it will show some lighting on the edges of arms and such, but i cant seem to get any real details out no matter how high i go

I just found high res pictures of NiGHTS on this website, what are the images stored for?
i'd say its the storage of some gaming review site.
also, someone better find a high-res version of the artwork used when connecting to a server, so we can make a vpk with it and replace the existing one.

Well I'm loving a lot of the stuff on here, as I've only seen low-res incredibly pixellated versions on other sites of most of these images. Glad to have the full-res versions.

Love the beta skull and crossbones emblem. Also, why hasn't anyone tried to remake the old control point and holograms? That'd be a dope mod.
I may go through and save all of these images provided I can find them all.
Firebeast did tell me that there are also some images with actual filenames instead of just numbers...so we may need another method to find those ones.
maybe you could contact the website hosting them and ask them nicely if you could have access to those files.
