Seriously, What The Fuck? Steam Deleted TF2 and all Transactions?

Ok, this is trippy as fuck.

When TF2 went on sale for $10, I bought it for my brother. I gifted it to him on his account. No problem, we played for a while.

He hasn't played it in a while, so when he logged back in, it was gone. Ok what the fuck? Yeah, so I looked around, and assumed it was the issue where it bugged and wasn't showing up. Apparently that wasn't the case.

I checked all the transactions on steam purchases, [b]It wasn't there.[/b]

I bought it as a gift, $10 USD. Gone. Checked gift passes. [b]Gone.[/b]

He Did own TF2 at one point, as I got him the earbuds.

There's absolutely no reason to take this to a small claims just because of a server glitch of some sort. Contact Steam support.

I've only gotten an extra copy once before (when I bought the retail boxed Source pack and then bought the boxed Orange Box). Otherwise, I don't believe you get extra copies for online transactions. I could be wrong, but I got the orange box on an alt with Garry's Mod and TF2 and it didn't give me a second TF2.

I'm sure he played during a free weekend, which would make sense considering you supposedly bought it during a sale. Likely you didn't have enough money in your account and the transaction failed, or you were being herpa derp and didn't actually buy it.

If I remember correctly this was because of some legal issues or something, I didn't get an extra copy either.

The only games that happened with were HL2 and HL2: EP1

No, it's because the deal only offers extra copies of HL2 and HL2EP1. It's stated in Steam Support, if you want to look it up.
