A few months ago I decided to make a tool to automatically craft weapons together, because doing it manually is a total pain in the ass.
I mainly made it for myself, but figured I might as well release it. Currently only supports windows but I could try compiling it for Linux and Mac if there's any sort of demand.
This was made possible by SteamKit2. The way the program works internally is... uh... well, it's special. Don't judge.

What if I get banned for using this?
What if I lose my items?
I made this tool and use it at my own risk. So do you. The disclaimers are there for a reason.
Will this help me get low craft numbers?
No. It only crafts weapons to metal. It is not intended to give anyone a significant advantage.
Why make it? Stuff like this already exists!
There are item managers for TF2, but they're closed source, and while I doubt they're malicious, I didn't want to trust my items to them. My code may be shit, but at least you know how and why it is shit.
Won't this help people get low craft numbers if the code is open? People could modify it!
AFAIK, people already use software like this to get low craft numbers. Making this open only levels the playing field. The ability to get low craft numbers via third-party software is fucked, but as far as I'm concerned, it's a flaw in the drop system that Valve should deal with.
If this is just to craft metal, why not just use Scrap.tf's "autoscrap duplicates" feature? I mean, if this works better, cool, but I don't really see the point

Huh. Well, this is awkward. I just tested it out, and it does seem to do the same thing my tool does. Better than my tool does it. Dammit. Well, abusing the Steam API was fun while it lasted.

I haven't tried the program but anything made by the community is probably better than the buggy trading interface valve made.

Scrap.TF isn't a VALVe website.

That's not what he was suggesting.

Autoscrap Duplicates is a Scrap.tf feature where basically you trade all your duplicate weapons to a bot and they trade you the exact amount of metal you would get if you were to craft those weapons together.
trading interface
made by valve

You are right, some how I miss-red that. My bad.
