Random FPS drops since Shogun update

Is this happening with anyone else? Before the Shogun pack update I could run TF2 with everything maxed fine (and a script pushing the graphics to an even higher limit) but now I get random FPS drops down to 13 (!) from the usual 30 ~ 60.

I never noticed any kind of stuttering or anything until now, any tips on how to fix it?

I kind of noticed that as well. My FPS drops when going into a crowded area but goes back to normal after a second or two.

I noticed once that when I meet a spy having a new troll hat-mask , suddenly my fps goes down from 50 to 20 or even less

Yep, the new items doesn't have lods yet, so it's normal that your game runs like shit when someone is using the shogun items

My game is unplayable on dx9 since the update.
I'm stuck with dx8 now.

I get random frame rate drops in the middle of maps since the update.

I could play tf2 on max with 120 fps before @ 1920x1200, now i have to play at 1440x900 to get playable fps.

Hmmm....Is it showing up any new/different errors in your console?Try veryfying cache files.
