I wanted to make a representation of what I wanted to see in the Heavy's second update, and I gave it a shot by making some mock-ups in GMod and utilizing my [sp]extremely limited[/sp] GIMP skills. I'm really not very proud of how it turned out (It looks terrible :P) but I figured it would be a waste to leave the files rotting on my hard drive. So, here you go.

Yeah, it wasn't so much about the fake itself as much as it was the weapon concepts. I just didn't want to post "LOL GUYS CHECK OUT MY IDEARS THEY ARE SO GUD" without any effort.
Really good work but the screen shots are a big too wide imo
For the weapons, I like the armors knockback removal and increased toughness, but I feel it doesn't have a negative, because as a heavy I rarely pull out my shotgun, and I only use my sandvich if there's a lack of medics.

Really? Because I pretty much depend on my sandvich. Medics tend to hate me for some reason.

I like the basic ideas, but they definitely need some balancing.
The Bofors seems kind of overpowered. Instant explosions, from any distance, that are larger than the Soldier's? He'd utterly dominate medium and long range combat at that point, and combined with the Iron Kurtain he wouldn't really need to worry about hurting himself if something gets in close.
Either that, or reduced damage would make it useless for anything but pelting Scouts and annoying Snipers.
I think it basically comes down to hitscan explosions being a bad idea.
(For the GRU, the 50% reduction is very bad. It's enough to just have the health dropoff.)

The shots would theoretically do about 40 damage per hit, firing at about one shot every .9 seconds. It's also not completely accurate, but much more accurate than the miniguns.

Make it so you can't jump as high. This would make sense as you can't be knocked back.

Also the "Gloves Of Running Urgently" should have more than a 25% increase. 25% is like what? The speed of a soldier? That really won't work as all the other classes are now immensely more fast then him then before. The Soldier and the Demo-man recently got something that increases there speed ten-fold, so for the heavy he'd need to go way faster than 25%more.

The demoman has grenade launchers. Soldier therefore is repetitive.
It's different from the RLs in that it's hit-scan. It's the heavy's same "Room Clearing" role, except for more outdoors situations, and at range. He can't take on multiple enemies near him anymore, but he can do it more effectively, say, from the top of the badlands spires.
Stand a good distance from door
Fire into enclosed space
Rack up kills.
