the "invasion" cosmitics and the ufo maps were made for a contest being teased in sites like kritzkast and other, not an actual update
valve news network are very shitty with making false information lately
Valve News Network is notorious for misinformation, and copies every scrap of information he [I]does[/I] get off of Facepunch's own Major Update Speculation thread. The community invasion stuff has always been a purely community effort. There has been no indication whatsoever by Valve about an alien update, barring one tiny blueprint image in Powerhouse that looks kind of like a UFO.
