A hat that, for whatever reason, looks like this.

NOW. Gettin' the obvious outta the way, the hat is NOT painted. Video options have been messed with to see if the hat would revert to it's original form, but nothin's working so far.
Any ideas of what to do?
Get a better hat.
Did you install any skins at some point? If so, renaming the TF folder in "\Steam\SteamApps\account_name\team fortress 2\tf" to something else like TF-test can make TF2 ignore all skins located in the TF folder.
Get a hat that doesn't look like shit
Do you have any phong related skins? They seem to mess up hats after the paint update. I would suggest you uninstall them.
Might have something to do with DX8, are you running DX8?
Are you using the phongless pack?
Paints are messed up in DX8 and using skins without phong.
