I just recently built myself a new computer capable of playing pretty much any game ever, so in my excitement I went to go play TF2 in actually looking nice mode. But to my surprise with "MSAA 4x" set, I do not see any AA on anything. Most noticeably the choose your team doors.
I have a 5850 graphics card. Is there something I can do in CCC to let me force anti aliasing?
Thanks.
I had the same thing. It's a common issue for Source engine games.
Basically what you do is you go to your CCC and turn off AA from there, and then turn it on in TF2 (same for Anisotropic(or however it's spelled) filtering).
Your card might be set to override game settings. For NVidia, this is toggled/adjusted in the taskbar icon. I don't know about ATi though.
Also, as far as I know, the Pick Your Team doors still look aliased at the highest settings.
Alright, I went into CCC and set both AA and AF to use application settings. I'm going to see if it's any better.
Also thanks for pointing that out Elexar, I was confused mostly by those doors.

You're welcome. Try to find some (hand)rail props. At the corners/curves, the AA difference is probably best seen there.
Yep, been playing some TF2 with AA turned on. Thanks for the help guys.
