I'm trying an experiment in Tf2 where I make a "peace treaty" with the other team. The way I do that is by being a heavy with his Sandvich.(You can't hurt enemies with a Sandvich) Anyway, I catch a member of the other team off-guard by walking up to him and noming my Sandvich. 1 out of 10 times, he doesn't attack me and we become "friends" of a sort. I even once managed to make peace with 6 members of the other team and we comped out in the sewers of 2-fort. The next part is where it gets interesting. After making said treaty, an admin messaged me that they were getting complaints and asked me to stop. Is the TF2 community so afraid of peace? Anyway, post your thoughts or experiences like this.
Maybe he asked you to stop because you weren't contributing to your team's efforts.
Well, it is a team deathmatch. Collaborating with the enemy to create a picnic doesn't usually help the task at hand.
Once I walked out into the enemies territory and Decided I wanted my sandwich. The only two enemy heavies joined me after witnessing that I hadn't killed anyone yet. Good times were had until their medic killed me.
Yeah that sounds ridiculously boring and stupid considering this is a game where the point is to kill the other team.
What
I once had a similar thing, though me (a blu Engie) and 2 red pyros had a party under the stairs with blue lights. on Nucleus. It was fun.
I don't mind when a lot of people want to do dumb things like melee only and taunt kills but I hate when one annoying guy begs the entire server to do it while no one is wiling.
Friendship ends in 30 seconds.
I enjoyed declaring on alltalk to an engie that I was a spy, and then hanging out with him around his dispenser. Best map for this, I've found, is ctf_sawmill.
I turned into a spycrab...The red team didn't kill me...Said i was "protected class"
Yesterday, I was playing on 2fort and I decided to start eating my sandwich on the bridge. Naturally, 5 or so other people joined me. Then the whole server joined me. Pretty soon, the admin turned gravity to 200, kicked people who weren't nomming on top of the bridge (because of low gravity), and we made a huge tower of 15 or so nomming heavies. [editline]09:34PM[/editline] It was fun.
I was playing Dustbowl earlier and our entire team (blue) with no planning, decided to spycrab to the final point. We won.
I turned into a spycrab...The red team didn't kill me...Said i was "protected class"
I always join a server where everyone's first thought is KILL HEEM
All must stop for a Sandvich break.
I once had a drinking/juggling party with demos/soldiers on an all demo/soldier server(not farming, just only demos and sollies). It was fun until someone came through and killed us all :saddowns:

A Blu Heavy came down and we started talking in mic. Then a RED Spy came down and started talking too. We were the only ones on the server who had mics. We just sat down there in intel for the entire match talking. We killed any other Spies or hostiles, but not him. It was fun. [editline]12:10AM[/editline] Everyone seems to forget the unwritten Spy code: if you bump into an enemy Spy in an enclosed space, you both uncloak/umdisguise, taunt, and then you both continue on your seperate ways without following.

Go to the facepunch tf2 server ... its allowed to do so and about 5 out of 10 time you dont die nomming .. :P sometimes the whole server goes heavy jsut to nom
Do it people, the anouncer might give heavy new weapons to break his friendship with the other team!

I crafted my sandvich, I can't be at peace. :(
Well, it is a team deathmatch. Collaborating with the enemy to create a picnic doesn't usually help the task at hand.
it's not a deathmatch. it's ctf. you are why it's always stalemate on 2fort
I heal my enemies with my delicious sandviches.
I formed a group earlier on called "The Harmless Heavies" after some success in uniting the teams together in a couple of servers by myself. We had fun, eating sandviches, shouting praise at the enemies and helping each other get achievements and such, and I'd never met any of them before in my life! http://steamcommunity.com/groups/harmlessheavies Generally we go into servers together and say things like "When will this pointless violence end?" and "Why must we fight over colour? Surely we are all equals?", never attacking, ever. Sometimes it works and we have good times!
Brothers, when will this pointless war end? [editline]07:05PM[/editline] Also, FYI, people have ZERO humor in TF2. I go to any server at all and eat a sandvich and people shoot me! I got as a harmless spycrab and people still shoot me!
I go as a guitar-playing Pyro, beer-chugging Demo or *once upon a time* juggling Solly and people STILL SHOOT ME. TF2 isn't a serious game. Don't treat it as such.
Engineer dispenser hoedowns are the best, but I'm also a fan of Heavy Picnics and the Medic Bonesaw Orchestra.
This is sort of related: Go Dead Ringer Spy, Disguise as a friendly Heavy, stand on the 2fort battlements, and watch as Snipers fail to headshot you. It promotes peace because then the Snipers won't be killing :buddy:
brb, gonna try this
