Why did the series of megathreads get closed down?
Why did the series of megathreads get closed down?
threads now auto-lock at 5,000. Of which majority of megathreads had already exceeded, and therefore got locked.
Finding that weapons I used to hate are actually really good. (Boston Basher is one example)
The sound. Everything sounds different and easy to recognize. I just love how this game is made.
Finding that weapons I used to hate are actually really good. (Boston Basher is one example)
I used to genuinely think that the gunboats were useless. Then I started actually using them and learn how to rocket jump. Now I use them 80% of the time.
"UP but fun" weapons like the Panic Attack or Classic.
"UP but fun" weapons like the Panic Attack or Classic.
I don't really find either of those fun, but that's just my opinion.
I love that, despite it's flaws, this game is still constantly being updated after all these years. It's just really cool that we can always look forward to new content. (even if it's sometimes nothing more than new hats.)
I don't really find either of those fun, but that's just my opinion.
Different strokes for different folks.
Finding that weapons I used to hate are actually really good. (Boston Basher is one example)
The Phlog and I are sort of at this junction. I still like airblast a little more than it, but it's neat to see that I can use it better than I anticipated.
I love medics that actually heal and care about the team instead of pocketing the nearest heavy for kill assists.
I love the chance to use custom content. (Custom HUDs, Sprites, etc.)
taunts are fun when they turn into chains some soldier air shovels a sniper and pulls out a cup of coffee i shoot him twice in the head and throw money at him as a demo walks up to me and hams me and while going "WHOOO!", an engi is already whacking him with a wrench
since my computers crap and ive been playing a bunch of quake 2 engine games **coloured lighting boys** i redownloaded qwtf and ive been having fun playing with peeps someone please port border to tf2
[t]http://i57.tinypic.com/71tjcx.png[/t] Holy shit, I was just playing as battle Engie on a 2fort server, a Demo knocked out my Sentry after about 4 minutes of trying so I simply popped out and took him out with my Revenge Kritz, I decide to taunt to piss him off. As soon as I tap the taunt button a Pyro appears and run towards me spraying flames, I accept death, then I hit him with the taunt and survive. damn it feels good to get an accidental taunt kill (and achievement)
Nothing will beat the satisfaction of a proper hit with the shotgun. Bonus points for when it sends the ragdoll flying over a rail or cliff.
Sucessfully using the Dragon. It got a nice bonus that encourages ambushing tactics. Heck, I even managed to piss two people with it.

I think I'm in love I used to never play demoman, but I recently found this gem of a combination [t]https://wiki.teamfortress.com/w/images/thumb/4/48/LochnLoad.png/250px-LochnLoad.png?t=20111126171004[/t] + [t]https://wiki.teamfortress.com/w/images/thumb/9/91/YellowTarge.png/250px-YellowTarge.png?t=20111217065536[/t] + [t]https://wiki.teamfortress.com/w/images/thumb/f/f0/Eyelandertransparent.png/250px-Eyelandertransparent.png?t=20110506024213[/t] I've practiced a TON with the crusader's crossbow, and it turns out that it translates really well to the loch n load. Guaranteed 120 damage pipes means I know *exactly* how much damage I've dealt, so i know when the most opportune times are to bring out the eyelander and whether I should couple it with a charging minicrit or not (such as against soldiers). I picked the targe because of the incredible passive resistances - with 4 heads and overheal, a pyro would have to deal the equivalent of 620 damage, and a soldier or demoman has to deal roughly 450 damage, the equivalent of an overhealed heavy. Plus, not having to worry about afterburn is super convenient. When in a bind I can charge out of the situation as well. My favorite part is that no one can call aimbot hax since its a projectile weapon, and they can't call cheap spamming as it requires aim.

Two, people don't actually care about One, they just randomly call hax and votekick you, maybe they really think you're hacking, or they think you're just too good, either way, you get kicked because the whole team press F1 without caring much. (there's no votekick on this server? 90% chance a aimbot crit heavy will join your game and turn all your possible efforts into ashes) On an related note, I must admit that I actually love this loadout too, having a medic that overheal you sometimes at least actually prevent you most of the time from dying from stupid and unlucky situations like the ones above.

Since the Tide Turner is out, I use this often, because of the ability to easily turn left and right!
2015- Year of the Targe Use Targe Enforce use of Targe Only Use Targe Support Targe Users Promote Targe is in Charge.
and they can't call cheap spamming as it requires aim.
There actually are projectile aimbots. :v: I understand it's fun to play with this combo but it's just frustrating to play against it. Most because of the targe and it's ridiculous resistances which I think are undeserved and shouldn't be on any item (except the vaccinator). [editline]15th January 2015[/editline] And to be honest, it's a ton easier to hit people with the loch n load than with the stock launcher. I often see demoknights with the loch n load just clicking directly onto people and 50% of the shots hit. I don't want to sound mean or anything but I often question myself how they would perform with the stock grenade launcher.
Probably the same amount of kills, just some are from rollers and less from direct shots.
I swear that the grenades from the loch-and-load actually gravitate towards anyone that is at least five meters away from the demoman that shot them.
Well to be fair, the concept behind the Loch-n-Load (and the direct hit) is kinda flawed. It's supposed to reward you for scoring direct shots at your enemies, yet it makes the job easier since a faster and less arching projectile is really easy to aim. I doesn't really provide a challenge, it feels like a crutch actually (I still don't get why they gave it one more pipe). Back on topic: I fell in love with the Flying Guillotine again, hitting and killing cloaked spies with it feels so damn good. I just wish long range hits could count as Full crits instead of mini-crits.
