• Multicore rendering problem

I have been recently getting game crashes which I have come to a conclusion of me enabling multicore rendering in game, ive had this setting on for a good few weeks and it hasnt crashed at all, yesterday it was crashing randomly, from a few mins to a long time. I disabled multicore rendering and it runs without a hitch(but with lower fps) Why is this?
Does it to me too. Very high and smooth FPS (almost constant 100) with it enabled, but it crashes often, whereas with it disabled I get lower FPS (30-50) but with much, much less crashes. I have it disabled for more stable gameplay. I assume the setting is either bugged or not implemented properly.
The kinks have never been all worked out. Avoid using it for now
I use multicore rendering, and I barely crash However, I have been crashing time to time when a friend is playing on my listen server when I pull out my Jarate or Wrangler, but when he isn't there its fine, I removed my particle mods and it still does it.
That would be cool if Valve patch crashes when enabling multi-core rendering Useful when you have a shitty graphic card but a good processor.
Same here ADT I have an ATI Radeon HD 5450 but my AMD AthlonII X4 on Multi-core rendering boosts my FPS greatly, at the cost of 50% CPU usage that is.
Keep crashing when I enable this option on my Pentium DC E6500. Don't know if that would be different with my Core 2 Quad Q9550.
I barely crash, but I still crash
I have a great graphics card and a somewhat good quadcore but I can't enable Multicore support without crashing. If I have it disabled I can barely play TF2 at a stable frame rate. Where as if I enable it I can max out with x16 AA and play very smoothly until I crash.

I thought the update would fix it but it didn't.
This may be a dumb question, but what is multicore rendering and what's it do exactly? From what people have been saying this might be good for me because I got a shitty ass graphics card and get about 19 fps when I look at fire upclose :saddowns:

Around 5 in combat, so I can't play on servers with more than 26 players
@MRTW113 Why don't you try a config? Such as m0re's config.
do you know any greatly-fps boosting configs for L4D2 drax? I know its the wrong section, but while im here i might as well ask

I tried the config before, and it looked awful, but that's to be expected
No crashing on my end.
