I'm going to use the survival Sacrifice map as a Zombie Fortress map. I really can't see it have any other purposes than that, though. Any ideas on what it could be used for?

5-cp maps, or territory control. Or even payload maps would be great.
God dammit Mecha, stop coming up with awesome projects and get back to [del]bed baby[/del] working on Advanced Weaponiser! :argh: (Still love ya Mecha, no matter how many zombie go-karts you make.)
Make a mod where The goal is similar to L4D, Fast pace run and gun from point A to point B, so I guess just one control point far away, easy to cap like entering a save room. and give the "survivors" a decent buff of health maybe...if only

Or you could do it L4D style, where you had to go along, and reach the safe rooms, until you finally had to wait for the helicopter and hold off waves of attackers, or in this case, a really slow cap point while holding off waves of attackers. I do agree that Super Zombie Fortress could use some objectives besides "Stay alive and camp with the group for as long as possible".
Most ZF maps already do this. Very well actually.
Most ZF maps already do this. Very well actually.
:raise: Really? I guess I've only played one or two maps, but they didn't have these features, it was just a timer counting down and the survivors just had to stay alive.
Most ZF maps already do this. Very well actually.
Well that shows you how much Ive played ZF maps...
Well holy DICKS Mecha you never cease to amaze me.
It's going to be hard to distribute because apart from a select few I don't think L4D uses many of the stock HL2 textures.
I want a TF2 gametype where Red defends from hordes of L4D infected and special infected. It would be like a first person Tower defense game with bosses.
Yo, any pictures of what results look like?
Nice. Can totally see a KOTH map working with those L4D survival maps. If possible, change the textures to something more TF2-ish style. It will looks better IMO. Also, if adding some kind of situation or objective for the defending team (like turning on generators or collecting gas tanks to explode something) it would be even greater.
IMO the best way to use these maps would be a team of 4 (?) people. They have to do whatever it takes to get the intel to the end of the map. Zombies are very UP, but it's arena mode. The survivors can't respawn.

Only major problem i found while playing the sacrific map was that the skybox is abit glitchy
There used to be a cp_mercy that was an A/D CP map of the roof of Mercy hospital from No Mercy. It's probably still around, you had to cap like four areas as I recall. Had lots of fun on that map.
Could be useful for making films with replay.
After a bit of testing it becomes painfully obvious that TF2's units are 50% bigger than L4D's. As a result I had to resize the entire map, which was a tiny bit of hell, especially because models can't be resized. Though I like the result.
Look at OP title. Go all "awesome" See OP. Rate winner. Seriously are you a god or what

What's up with not being able to resize props? Would be hella useful. Also where is Jessecar and his server of wonderment to host this map.
You can't resize props in Hammer.

I just had a great idea. Can you use this to port over the "Helm's Deep" survival map over to TF2? You can turn it into a Medieval-mode Control point map! That would be fucking epic and it MUST be done.
Well Mecha? Are you gonna release the map or what?
L4D maps for TF2. And then those TF2 maps for Gmod. Fantastic.
Let us know when you have added some of them to the TF2 ware server/Super Zombie Mod server.
