After hearing about TF2Tightrope's closing, I decided to pay tribute by making my own version of one of their projects, "The BUE (Biggest Update Ever)". For those who don't know, The BUE held many ideas, additions, and changes that one would expect from an official Valve-made update, but most of the changes and additions were made by fans. The original page closed down some time in 2015, but it can still be accessed by other means such as through the Internet Archive, although it's rather incomplete.
My own version, although far from complete at the time of writing, is coming along nicely. I plan to add a page for cosmetics, and war paints, as well as a credits page to thank and acknowledge those who have contributed. Stay tuned for updates!
I made this thread so people can post their ideas for additions, such as cosmetics, war paints, weapon ideas, or even rebalances! It's also an easy place for you to inform me of any bugs or errors, which I can promptly fix.

While I appreciate the effort that has gone into these ideas, some of the weapons in this proposed update are just jaw-droppingly stupid. A Sniper rifle that allows sniper's bullets to home in on headshots? A medigun that gives Medic's target the ability to slow enemies? A fucking scout bat that allows him to grow 50 percent larger and gain 500 total health? And lets not forget the idea of giving Heavy the ability to equip the Razorback, making Spy absolutely useless against any Heavy wearing it.

You're right. The Razorback-wielding Heavy was probably a fallacy on my part, as was the small-range automatic headshot sniper rifle.
I wanted a cold-themed medigun, but perhaps making it's Uber be a slowdown effect was a bad idea. Maybe instead of slowing the patient's targets down, it could apply a modified afterburn or bleed, called "Frostbite", that can also be removed with fire?
I should probably nerf the Ro-Bat. 300, maybe even 350 health sounds a lot better, so does only a 25% size increase. I want to simulate a Giant Robot Scout in normal gameplay, but not in a way that would make it too un-fun for people fighting against it.

I'll be honest, I find the very concept of a giant robot scout bat to be silly. It feels like more a joke weapon than even the fan of war. And it's not something that really complements scouts base abilities or his existing unlockables in any meaningful way. It's just "hey, you can turn into a giant scout!"
I mean, that was your intention with the weapon, so I can't really fault you for that. I think it's really just the symptom of a bigger issue with this theoretical update, which is that it would be Uber Update 2.0: Electric Bogaloo. The whole reason that update gained so much notoriety is that it dumped a whole bunch of poorly thought out weapons into the game all at the same time. I think it's a mistake that should never be replicated again, especially judging by how it's taken years for the TF2 team to repair the damage that update did to game balance.

I see. I never knew that the Uber Update was poorly received. I guess I just don't pay attention.
I'll go through in a while and prune off some of the more ridiculous weapons, or at least heavily rework them.
there is zero problem about razorback on heavy. the no-overheal thing is a massive downside, and "roamer heavies" need all the help they can get.

Sure let's nerf the most underpowered class even more
who ever said spy is underpowered lol?
it's a class prone to dying alot, but that doesn't make him bad.

All it takes is game sense for a Spy to become effectively useless. There's a reason hardly anyone runs him in 6s.
Razorback has always been a stupid weapon anyway. Spies shouldn't have to pull out their primary to kill a lone, unaware sniper. It was a solution in search of a problem, and since it also brought us the cancer that was the Ambassador, it's even more offensive.
Just posted a pretty big update! You can check out the changelog here!
I put the changes here too, if you don't want to click.
- Added a changelog (just redirects you to the "Commits" page on the GitHub because I'm lazy)
- Updated the Chilliam William's backpack model to a higher-quality one
- The Heavy can no longer equip Sniper's backpack secondaries
- Added three new maps to the maps page
- Added class-wide rebalances to the Medic, Sniper and Spy
- Removed the Ro-Bat and Cursed Decapitator
- Rebalanced some weapons
- Added the beginnings of a credits page. Is currently inaccessible, but will be accessible when more credits are added.
Just added a steam group and made the Credits page accessible.
Wonder if this is going to be also added in the facepunch discord when its complete.
