Visit the website above to watch the trailer teaser and learn more about the project!
The Mayann Project is a community developed project which focuses on making content for TF2 around the Jungle/Mayan theme. The project has been in development since late 2015, and has now been made public, in order to meet Valve's request, so that it may receive community content submissions and possibly become an official TF2 Community Update.
This project has been an active collaboration between many community members, such as The Winglet, The Ronin, Svdl, VLEK, Sparkwire, YM, BANG!, among many others!
Post your questions, feedback, suggestions, artwork (concept art, 3d models, workshop submissions, etc) below!

Hello Gentlemen. Nice to see a new fan TF2 project of this size in the works.
I am Bastion, I make maps. And currently I've been working on a KOTH map. So I think that I will get involved with this project with my map, build the visual design of the map after the Mayann theme. And see how things go.
I hope Valve picks this shit up it seems sick
Any deadline or anything like that?
Would be good to know.
Expect that it's freaking awesome so far.
Well, obvious questions first: there a deadline of sorts? Even a loose deadline?
:ninja:
There is no deadline. Valve has said that, should a themed project become popular enough, they will publically announce it in TF2's blogpost.

This is the best so "far" imo.
Ooh might give this a gander.
Makes me wish I could model for shit I'd love to participate in this
Well, regardless, might take a crack at a Clayton-inspired set for the Sniper. Hair, shirt, hat, maybe a unique rifle.

Looks fine to me.
So to make things clear, there's no contest and no "judges" per se on the group behind this? It's a free-for-all for the whole community with equal opportunity, rather than a contest with an end goal of winning a prize, correct? I figure its best to put things like this all out in the open, rather than just kept to one group - communication is key, after all.
I wanted to start contributing to TF2 for a very long time. I don't think I'll start now, because I have 0 knowledge of 3d-modeling or texturing, or what not, but I'll get there sometime. I remember having a badly drawn concept a long time ago with a set for Soldier that would fit with the theme, I think. I'll try recreating that.
Hello
I got idea for all class hat
sorry for quality but i wanted make it fast

Yes. There's a Mayann project team and we're all working on things for this update, but Valve have 100% of the final say. That's how they're doing things now. No contest, no judges, rev shares decided by Valve.
That is all if Valve choose to make this an update. Hopefully they will!

Glad that's all said and out there, then, it's better that way. More creation for the sake of creating that way.

Started this map about two days ago. Plan now is to have a jungle waterfall go through the centre of the map and under the point. KOTH_waterfall
But there is a lot of layout work to do.
I can do some SFM workshop pics if anyone wants some done
Hey, can i get that golden statue model anywhere? I had an idea for a Taunt. Thank you
Best of luck to you guys I hope you create a great update and it goes official, I've always loved the Winglet's videos and though we should get an official community update based on one of them. It seems like a great theme too, I would love to see new jungle/Mayan themed assets for maps.
There better be a giant rolling stone ball somewhere

Oooh, like a train. That would be fun.
I'm more than willing to do some SFM renders for the workshop~!
I'd love to help with this project! It could do some sfm renders like demi as I think I'm pretty alright at them :D
I'll be working on some stuff based on the mayan characters that appear in timesplitters.
-snip nevermind, I can't participate-
