Basically Double Fine wants to create a game, but they're fed with publishers and other such assholes telling them what to do, so they started a fundraising so they could create their next point-and-click adventure game.

What is amazing, that not even 24 hours have passed, no news sites have gotten their hands on it and yet they allready have 340k out of their 400k goal.

you guys will need to donate to my kickstarter so I can afford it though
I dunno the specifics on Kickstarter, but part of me keeps thinking that people are offering extravagant "rewards" so they can get a bunch of money, and then run off with it.
Oh hey I donated thirty bucks

Tim is totally wigging out on Twitter
and we're 8,000 dollars away
That was quick.

From Twitter:

This has been an incredible night, thanks to you crazy people. :')[/quote]
We love you too!
I wonder how much Day of the Tentacle would be worth.
i wanted to pledge but i cant seem to find a paypal option ;(
Back'd.
Now if only we'd have something similar for Psychonauts 2... :v:
I'm confused; is this instead of Notch giving them all that money for Psychonauts 2, or just a separate deal?
100 pledged awhile back, worth it for the game, OST, 1080p documentary files, and a super awesome poster!

Did you even read the project page? This has nothing to do with psychonauts.
$10,000 for lunch?
Does it even come with dev blowjobs?
pledged 15 dorra
Backed them too, 15$.

Chill out. It just strikes me as a strange coincidence that Tim Schafer has been publicised a great deal in the last 2 days and that the two were maybe correlated.

yeah, that sounded more far hostile than I meant it to. :v:
Damn, they are closing in on the 600000$ mark :pwn:
After watching the kickstarter video I've come to the conclusion that this has been planned way before the Noth event. Getting that (even simple) script written, hiring those guys to film the thing and then editing out all the bad takes takes some time!
