I can't figure this out. My was able to get to level 26 in a day and a half. I see other people saying they can get to level 60 in 4 to 5 days. How is this? It took me a couple of weeks to get to 26. Am I missing some super XP giving activity?
You have a life.
Normally they're talking about played time not real time. You're doing fine at the moment.
Practise makes perfect. I levelled a load of characters when i played, and as you learn the placement of quests, items, and such, you become so efficient at it that you shock yourself when you hit 60/70/80 and you feel like youve barely played at all
26 in 36 hours? That's a lot for me, I'm still 49 after nearly a year of playing (I haven't played anymore in a long time now though). I preferred sitting in Ogrimmar buying stuff at the Auction House and then re-auctioning it for 30% more (I made quite some money on that), the grinding is just too tedious.
I world PVP alot on my warrior, killed 1 got killed 3 times.
I just don't have a change against protection warriors and mages. A few days /played, and I'm soon 65.
If you don't know how to play a char it can be really tough sometimes and you have to carefully choose your gear. There are some 'bind on account items' people can get when they already have a lvl 80. It also depends on the char, some chars are easier to level and more powerful when leveling. Like my paladin i leveled it super fast, from lvl 20 tot 40 i about 5-6 hours really easy and nearly 6 days total to lvl 80 with 1 boa piece and without flying mounts in outland (they nerved it a short while ago) , only from lvl 76 i got to fly. And i had so much fun leveling it, if it's no fun it's gonna take you forever to get to 80.
I don't know how to play my char and I am doing fine. :v:

I love the AH. I hang around the one in Ogrimmar as well. I sell shit less than the current market value so people buy my stuff instead. I don't lose any money because I either make (leatherwork) or sell shit I find.
First time I hit 60, it took about 13 days. The second time it took about 5-6 days. It's mostly thanks to heirlooms and RAF bonuses.

As other people mentioned, we're talking about played time. You can view this by typing /played in the chat in-game.
You're doing good at the moment, just take your time. If it is your first character, you will notice the next one you decide to level will progress noticeably faster.
You really shouldn't worry about how fast you level until you start leveling your third or fourth class. Then you should have a good idea of how stuff goes so you level way quicker. Also helps to try two different ways on your first two classes, either to see which ones more interesting and fun, or which ones faster.
You guys make me feel crappy, I'm at 61 with 4d 21h.. Played Time though, dunno what that is spread out over weeks. lol.
Like athene did?
Play WoW all the time day and night. And throughout all that quest or dungeon
I only levels to 45 normally took awhile, Then i got RAF. Made 1-60 so much easier.
I have a 34 and I only have like 29 hours played on him.
Not sure if BG exp has been nerfed since my last char I was leveling at 51+
But when I got 51 last time, I did AV do level and I got 3-4 levels per day.

I dunno, some folks just don't have a life
edit: No binds yet because it's a new account

Agree on that
I am 73 with 12 Days play time... is that bad?
I am 73 with 12 Days play time... is that bad?
Not really.

It's not bad for a first char it's bad if you already got a lvl 80 you can do it half that time or even much faster
my 71 shaman has 2 days 12 hours played on him.

Why are you sad because your friend is the one with no life?
