Yeah, I just installed bf2 on my new pc. Maxed out with 8xaa, I want motion blur. Any mods for this?
You could shake your real head when turning around your in game head.
You could shake your real head when turning around your in game head.
hurf durf made me laugh
No there isn't and if there was, you couldn't play on normal servers.
Why the fuck would you actually want motion blur?
Why the fuck would you actually want motion blur?
because it's cool looking
You obviously want to die faster or something. Motion blur won't help you in BF2 or in any game for that matter.
because it's cool looking
And vomit inducing.
i like it :(
i like it :(
So do I :D
Slight motion blur is always nice. TF2 for example.
Slight motion blur is always nice. TF2 for example.
Lolwut
Yeah, motion blur in games is awesome if used correctly.
Lolwut
Console TF2 has it, anyway.
Console TF2 has it, anyway.
You play it on a console? Ew. Anyways PC has it too as well as Portal and Left 4 Dead I believe.
Console TF2 has it, anyway.
PC Tf2 has it too, tick the motion blur box
You play it on a console? Ew.
It's really not that bad.
PC Tf2 has it too, tick the motion blur box
I figured. :P
It's really not that bad. I figured. :P
Yeah, I agree. Console TF2 is pretty good. There aren't as many custom "surf_l33tk33ll" maps, but then again, no updates or good custom maps. At least the little kids stay in their herd.
Crysis had the best motion blur ever
Crysis had the best motion blur ever
Yeah, it made playing on Low a bit more bearable.
Portal had the sexiest motion blur I had ever seen, that and mirrors edge.
I haven't met any little kids on console TF2.
Turn on your speakers.
No, there isn't a motion blur mod for BF2. Unless you count the motion blur when you're being disorientated by an explosion blast. But for anyone who wants better effects on the graphics, use the GTA: SA ENB series. It works on BF2.
I haven't met any little kids on console TF2.
If you're on the 360 then you are one deaf mofo.
I like motion blur, especially if it's proper like this: [img_thumb]http://files.getdropbox.com/u/99783/Pictures/Crysis/Blurry%20Arm.jpg[/img_thumb] (Thumbnails, click to enlarge) [img_thumb]http://files.getdropbox.com/u/99783/Pictures/Crysis/Chicken%20Punch.jpg[/img_thumb] Where even if you're still, a moving object will be blurred. There's games other than Crysis that have this like Penumbra, Dead Rising/Lost Planet/RE5 (Capcom's proprietary engine) and Switchball are some I can think of right now. Most games only have a screen blur when you turn fast: [img_thumb]http://files.getdropbox.com/u/99783/Pictures/GTA%20IV/ScreenBlur.jpg[/img_thumb] (Like the HUD, Niko is never blurred, but it's still just a screen blur like TF2) Or a radial Blur when moving forward fast: [img_thumb]http://files.getdropbox.com/u/99783/Pictures/Fuel/Mountain%20Race.jpg[/img_thumb] (Just a filter around the edges of the screen) But they're better than nothing in my opinion, it doesn't tend to hurt framerates more than it makes it look smoother.
Portal had the sexiest motion blur I had ever seen, that and mirrors edge.
Portal: Screen blur when you turn, Mirror's Edge: Radial blur when you move fast (not saying they don't have motion blur I'm just giving examples of what types they are). Also sometimes I'll render short clips of games with no motion blur, and add full motion blur to them: [img_thumb]http://files.getdropbox.com/u/99783/Pictures/Motion%20Blur/Clear%20Sky2.jpg[/img_thumb] Right now I've only uploaded one of FarCry 2, if anyone's interested you can watch it here. (no sound)

I find using reelsmart motion blur to give a lot of articfacts with text and HUD or with transparent things, when I render it the motion blur in the video will flicker at some moments as well. Have you encountered these problems?
Why the fuck would you actually want motion blur?
Because who wants to see what's going on when hurling themselves across the battlefield in a buggy.
Because who wants to see what's going on when hurling themselves across the battlefield in a buggy.
Some people like it. I do, for instance, it's a nice effect.
It's pointless and if it isn't in a game it doesn't bother me in the least. Motion blur can actually make me somewhat nauseous if it's excessive.(when you look around for instance.)
