Does anyone still play one of the best series of games I have ever played. And I have played 3 full game series. And that also has Half Life in it. The fact that no one plays fallout is sad. It is a great series of games that was blocked out by other of Bethesda's works like The Elder Scrolls. It has variation in the quests, decent combat system, variation in enemies and factions. The most under-rated part of Fallout is the Karma system. That system keeps the game going a lot as NPCs will comment depending on your current Karma level, making the game different based on choices. The weapons are balanced, none are godly, none are as fucking useless as BB guns. Except the BB gun. Each enemy has a weakness which can be found by experimenting with various weapons. You may find that humans can withstand a plasma round, and a mutant lives it. The quests are optional, which allows the game to flow better, you don't have to bugger off all the way to a distant corner of the map in 10 seconds, you can slowly make your way there while discovering new areas of the land and new weapons. The enemies are not too difficult yet not too easy to defeat, they often come in variations which makes it a lot more fun than just seeing the same enemy 500 times in 10 minutes. The faction system is a good feature. It allows you to have friends and enemies, say you join the Brotherhood of Steel, the Enclave will hate you and vice-versa. TO THE BUGS I have not observed very many bugs in the series. But I have seen some very game-halting ones. The main one was when Liberty Prime got stuck. To this day I haven't finished FO3 because of that. The other bug I noticed is when you escort James and Dr. Li to the purifier, they sometimes walk into walls. As I said, not too many bugs. So FP, do YOU still play the best series of games I have played? (User was banned for this post ("Missed the Fallout Megathread" - BANNED USER))

we have a megathread on the series, so its fairly popular here.
Fallout definitely isn't forgotten or overlooked.
I've got about 370 hours. Only recently have I been starting to get bored of the Fallout series. And I still don't own 1 or 2.
wat is Fallout`?
you say fallout as if you mean the original 2 games, and then go on to say bethesda so what you're saying is you think a game that is, what, ~6 years old is "forgotten"
Unfortunately most of the people who played Fallout 3 are too shallow to touch the originals because of the turn based combat and graphics.
Unfortunately most of the people who played Fallout 3 are too shallow to touch the originals because of the turn based combat and graphics.
Unfortunately, this is true. It's quite a shame.
I love the fallout games. I started playing new vegas again yesterday. I hope they make a new game soon.
Unfortunately most of the people who played Fallout 3 are too shallow to touch the originals because of the turn based combat and graphics.
too shallow? you mean not masochistic.
I enjoyed fallout 2 more, but I spent more time on fallout 3.
Man, you missed the megathread by a mile. And if there is a megathread, obviously people play it. Good work.
too shallow? you mean not masochistic.
Same thing.
Nope. No one plays it. I mean, it's not like it's the 17th most played game on steam with 4000 players or anything.
Is Fallout a romance-drama simulator?
i still don't understand football manager 2012 i mean HONESTLY who bought it from facepunch? nobody i know has ever even heard of it/has given a shit [editline]12th February 2012[/editline] i mean to me it would be one of those games right above the shitty indie titles that find themselves shitsmeared all over steam's store page
too shallow? you mean not masochistic.
And what is that supposed to mean? The games are only hard if you're completely unable to read and follow directions. And the graphics are perfectly serviceable, I mean, again unless you're a shallow child who really puts graphics before gameplay. But, apparently you're a few years older than I am and as such I find it hard to believe that you can't stomach them... unless you didn't get into video gaming until recently.
And what is that supposed to mean? The games are only hard if you're completely unable to read and follow directions.
the game is hard, clunky, and in its original state you can break the game by falling into a bug. i like it the most out of any fallout, but let's not lie about the state of the game.
I tried getting into fallout 2, but I got bored of kicking ants and gave up. I should try it again sometime.
Nope. I only play cripple fucking visual novels
