Recently I've got myself playing 2142 with my friend again after so many other games. But my VTOL skill has never improved and I have got no idea how to control those kind of thing.
I can pilot helicopter in 1942 well but I just can't do VTOL, is there a trick for them? :confused:
I always thought they were pretty similar to helicopters from Battlefield 2. Just join empty 64 man servers and practice up.

Instead of holding down forward, you can gently ease it on and off to hover. Fairly usefull for clearing out control points.
Full sensitivity, fuck shit up
Fly upside down permanently, makes your opponents wtf and crash
Fly straight up and jump, by the time you hit the ground the round will be over
Make sure you have space for your mouse, I have been killed many times by hitting my mouse against the keyboard :v:
join a 64 man and mess around with it or let the pros handle it.
It pisses me off when someone jumps in a VTOL and flys straight into the ground as soon as they exit the TITAN.
Try using your mouse
