Noctis IV CE - Games - Facepunch Forum

Noctis is universe simulator with about 70 to 80 billion procedurally generated stars, with the ability to land on procedurally generated planets to explore them. But it's not milky way galaxy. Planets also have different climates and animals. This game is good entertaiment untill Spore will be released. (Tought this game is kind of only space phase) Here is some cons and pros: +Freedom of travel. +Different planets with plants and animals. +You can walk/run or use jetpack on planets. +Different celestial bodies as: Nebulae,All kind of stars,Moons,planets,etc. +[B]Free.[/B] +You can name your stars and planets. +Some planets have oceans and lakes. They are sometimes melten material. (lava,oxygen,other things) +3D engine (sure doesn't look like it eh?) -Bad resolution. (will be fixed in new versions) -No sentient speacies. (well in one planet has cities but that's another story) -Online play? -Forums are getting quiet. (But still alive) -Graphics suck for 21st century. -Hard to learn to play. You may need to download 7z for extraction. Just put it in a folder and extract. There you are ready. Here is some controls you better need to know: You move by moving mouse foward and backward. You look by holding mouse 2 and well just move it around. You can get you ship moving by going to the console screen in the window and look at it (by mouse 2) there should be "flight control" word in upper screen and press mouse 1. Then there should be punch of options what to do. But i am too tired to explaine them so go to docs folder and click the manual. There is all what you need to know. But there is going to be new version (game possibly?) where is new graphics and [I]maybe[/I] online play. When downloading older versions always remember to download "Full" version. "Full" is full game so no need to fuck up with things.

Awww, online play would be so epic. I could just imagine exploring some remote areas and land on a planet and see someone and be like "Oh...Hey."

:( I can't play Noctis IV because I have the x64 version of Windows, probably because its DOS based. I hope to GOD that Noctis V will be released...somewhere in my lifetime.

I works for me on 32 bit windows vista. But I have no idea how to do anything.

Noctis V will come out in a few more years. It takes so long because it's being developed by Gabe. He just doesn't want you to know.

Noctis V will never come out. It was MANY years in development MANY years ago, and it's still on the same build/screenshots as far as the website is concerned. It's vapourware. You can say "Nah, it's coming out!" all you want, but that's been said for many many years now and it's still the same it was then as it is now. The creator basically just vanaished from the internet. EDIT: I see they are making a kind of fan-made sequal. Pretty daring, but honestly I see this as ending up like ambitious modding projects (as in, progress will get done but it will either take too long or never get finished).

Ah yes, Noctis. Pointless, but amazingly fun.

To get fuel you need to go to class S06 star. Then go to computers and go to "onboard devices" from there "emergency systems" and from there "scoop for lithium". But remember all class S06 stars are not suitable. When you press "scoop lithium" and if the bottom it says scooping then you just wait. Lithium ammounts will raise.
