• Connection problem (?) with online games.

Okay, so I tested this on many gmod, tf2 and css servers. What happens is I'm playing in the middle of a game and then everything freezes. Like as if the server wasn't responding. Nobody would be moving but i could look around. And I would still hear the people talking on the mics still. It's like I'm half connected to the server. When I disconnect from the server, I'm still in the server. Like, I exit in-game but when I go to view server info, my name is still in the player list. Does anyone have a fix for this?
It doesn't sound connection related. Maybe you've installed unhealthy ammounts of mods?
Maybe your PC isn't powerful enough or you have too much stuff running in the background
I now realize it is an epic lag. Like for 10 seconds.
So it freezes with recurring sound? Then catches back up? If so when playing go ctrl, alt, delete right click on the game you are playing in processes and click on set Affinity. Then uncheck CPU 1 and it should be fine, I did this with Left 4 Dead as I had the same problem
No, it's pretty much an exact replica of what happens when the server is not responding. There are no repeating sounds. My game isn't crashing, I can look around and everything, it's just that I can't move and nobody else is moving. I can still even hear the sounds of people reloading and shooting, and even people talking on the mic.
Oh I thought this thread was about connection problems with offline games. Sorry can't help you in this category.
