I have been looking for a good MMO where I can actually use my personal Skills in the game to dominate my enemies instead of clicking on the enemy and pressing attack 1,2,3 etc and watch it happen.
It is the first game that actually got my adrenaline pumping and my hands shaking from the fights.
It's an all open massive Full Loot Full PVP PVE FPS MMO, This means that I actually have to aim at you to kill you and use my fps/player skills to defeat you and if I kill you I get everything you have on you at the time of death.
No loading screens when crossing massive words no instanced zones everyone can go everywhere and kill everybody.
This game is a must have, it's a little hard on beginners but once you have played maybe a few days you get used to it.
Large scale wars ( I've been in personally up to 200 vs 200 wars ) over cities land or just because you want some loot, or small time 1 vs 1 you can pvp all day or you can go kill some large mobs and get good loot either way it's great.
I recommend you all get a sub to this game, you might even wait until they expand it this month with the free expansion that will add a shitload more to the game, but I'd pick it up asap.
hope to see you in game, but watch out I'll gank ya.

FAQ From the Site:
What makes Darkfall a groundbreaking game?
On one hand Darkfall was inspired by the pioneers of online role-playing games, on the other it has advanced features and technology never before seen in online games. Darkfall is helping to advance the MMORPG genre further. Some of the features that make Darkfall stand out include:
* The largest online world of its kind
* More concurrent users than any other game of its kind (over 10thousand)
* Zoneless, seamless, un-instanced world
* Larger epic battles than any other MMORPG of its kind featuring hundreds of participants on each side
* No point and click, you need to aim your attacks and actively play the game
* Darkfall isn't turn-based like most MMORPGs today. The action is Real-Time and fast paced
All of this is true but it needs a few more new players.
Seems Intresting, if it was a Trial and it was fun id easily purchase it.
We'll see, i might do ^^ If so i would probably need some help with it.
If anyone buys this game and subs and plays it I will personally help them and give them some starter gear and teach them the ropes, if your not an asshole you might even like to join the clan I'm in.
If you want to reach me in game my in game name is Olaf Barlah use the /tell First Last command to contact me.
Played the beta, thought it was shit. Terrible combat animations are what ultimately killed it for me.
Played the beta and slapped myself over and over for wasting so much time. They make a big thing about there being 'no levels' when actually there are. they've just split them up into many many skills. When I was playing the game it felt so much like runescape it was unbelievable...
Played the beta, sucked pretty bad, was stupid enough to think they'd have some major improvements and logged in for about 40 minutes, exited/uninstalled the game. There has to be a balance between sandbox gameplay and having actual goals to complete rather than just dumping you inside a world to say "Alright, do whatever you want"

it was beta, congrats on paying for a beta and not knowing what a beta is nor dem telling youi ts beta
lol Darkfall.
Honestly, DF was some of the best mmo'ing I have had in a while. It was great fun because I joined a guild off the start and everybody was on the same level (NA launch). My guild was huge on capturing villages and building up their city, but could take a joke and made room to PVP/dick around ganking enemy gatherers. There were intense moments when we would have to organize a city defense under a couple of seconds or when we met resistance at a village and had to counter-attack. Or finding a chaos chest (random loot-chest in the world) and trying to scurry back to bank with a couple hundred gold in your pocket with total fear of being ganked by everyone you came across.
It started to really suck a huge amount of huge dicks when macro'ers started to dominate the game with their maxed out weapon skills/maxed out magic skills. It didn't help that magic was the most OP form of combat to begin with.
All in all, I don't regret paying for the game and about a month worth of gameplay. It was a breath of fresh air.
Worst 50 bucks I've spent...
I still play the game and love it.
Got my friends, brothers and cousins to play so we all chill together.
Hah, worst grinding game ever. And nothing to achieve in the game AT ALL.
I was really hyped for this game but got discouraged by the gameplay videos. I really liked the idea of building your towns and stuff. I might enjoy it but I want to play a trial before I buy it.
Hah, worst grinding game ever. And nothing to achieve in the game AT ALL.
Tell me what you achieve in any other game?
also about the trials i doubt there will be some unless it works this way, hopefully it works out this way-Subscribers get 1-2 free trial keys which they can give out to their friends, If their friends enjoy it they continue onto buying subscription and play.
Problems with trials without my solution.
Many accounts, have 10 people harvesting at once/multiboxing,non working banks wont work because they will just get their alts to die then pick up the materials they harvested.
So hopefully it turns out Sub gives trusted friend or person to try it out.
I like how a lot of the people who are dissing Darkfall in this thread, are also the people who said Mortal Online will kill darkfall, when it eventually ended up failing worse than Darkfall.. Also, the majority of you guys have never experienced the game to the fullest extent, or have even played it at all.
I can say myself, as a defender of Mar Shrall back in its early days, that this game has been one of the most enjoyable MMO experiences I've ever had. All you have to do is join one of the largest clans in the game, and get your skills up, and you can then be part of the massive battles that can take place in the game.
I remember being part of a battle that actually crashed the entire server, AND the Darkfall website, because there was so many people taking part in it, about 300 people clashing into eachother, mana missiles and arrows flying past your head, it's really fun, and all the people dissing it probably have never played it and probably play completely different MMOs. Darkfall is the most unique fantasy MMO that I've played. So Yes. Yes it is fun. And stop making fun of it when you have never played it to the fullest.

Invisible lagging mana missiles, Impossible to hit players due to the lag.
Server crashing because of the battles
Great game.
the game was really fun while it lasted, but damn the developers didnt know shit about shit

Your Computer,Internet and where the fuck you live must suck.
Im a australian i get 200ping on NA-1 and never experienced such bullshit you have said.
When i played sieges lagged so much it was unplayable but people say they have fixed it, also jesus the amount of exploits that existed on release day.
I actually envisioned an MMORPG with FPS elements like this. I was hoping it would be something like Tabula Rasa with FPS elements, but this. The gameplay videos alone speak a thousand words.
It's worth it, I'm actually thinking about resubbing for the 3rd time.

I see you have never played the game! Nope, nope, and only if they were HUGE battles. Little 5v5/10v10 skirmishes NEVER had problems for me.
I remember we raided this one fort whose alliance was tipped off about our attack... They had all of their forces on their battlements flinging missiles at our charging troops and it was like something out of a Star-Wars movie.
-snip-
After seeing some videos and reading about how easy it is to exploit in the game. And the fucking people running the game cant even catch some guy with Noclip.
No thanks, wont get it.
You weren't gonna buy any MMo that wasn't free so Que?
I'd only consider resubbing on this if they launched a new EU server, since i don't want to play in the old one where everyone and their dog has 100 rigor and ignore pain because of that acid pool exploit that existed on release day.
Actually i don't even know if they have launched a new server.

Play on the NA server...
Everyone who plays Darkfall is there or planning to transfer there. Even the Europeans. It has faster FPS, no matter where you live, and the community is much better.
Just had a sad experience.
I was out killing npc's when all of a sudden i hear walking in the marshes all squishy like.
i ran to high grounds and happened to find a old alliance friend who left everyone and made he's own clan.
Well first i told him i didn't want to fight but he ran at me,I decided to not fight back and run away, bad choice.
He killed me with Arrows and looted everything i had.
I later spoke to him and we had a convincing talk,In the middle of the talk he runs into our clan town and heads straight for the bank,Everyone was luckily prepared to fight him off.
As the battle goes on i grab my bow and arrows running naked at him shooting arrows,He attempts to run around the corner but i hit him knocking him onto the ground.
I told him i loved him and sad he had to go and finished him off.
On the bright side i got my stuff back :)
great game.
The politics in this game are almost like eves.. Almost.

HEIL GLUTTONY
Anyway, with transfers opening up and the new free expansion coming out, this game is definitely worth playing if you're interested in open PvP.
Also, the grind has been reduced considerably. Skill gains have been amplified by about 12x.
